It's time for the end-of-year Number 8's and we have a very multinational selection of songs. Italy, Spain, Australia, Sweden and Scotland are all represented (some better than others :kink:). There are some real classics in the mix (Groovejet, Hung Up), slices of summer nostalgia (The Ketchup Song, Mysterious Girl) and an unforgettable campaign song. Let's see which tracks can make it to the end!

Got to be the Proclaimers. Not a fan of the original and this was much worse.

Hung Up

Yeah it's not the strongest bunch however Ive spent a bit longer than usual on what to opt for first as none of them are bad per se.

 

I quite liked it at the time but I'm opting for 'Patience' purely for the fact that I much prefer 'Shine' over it and I like the novelty, campaign tracks more. It'll be top 3 but eh!

Proclaimers a pretty easy first choice, this isn't the best aged best sellers list.

Dammmn this is hard to choose even at round 1! Probably gonna be voting for the eventual winner but going for Hung Up. It's a good song but not one I ever actively return to. Much rather just listen to Gimme Gimme Gimme tbh.

 

There's so many 8s & 9s out of 10 in this list.

I thought my Anastacia bias wasn’t clouding my judgement on the collective taste of Buzzjack but is Hung Up actually joint leading? I weep for this site.

'Hung Up' is far away from my faves from her but it is very surprising that Madge is heading out this early!

 

What's equally as surprising is Basshunter getting no votes yet. :o

First 'Pure Shores' leaving early and now 'Hung Up'... are you all ok? I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of HU but there are definitely at least 5 songs in this list that should be going before that does?

Absolutely shocked that Hung Up is close to being knocked off. Especially in round 1! I'm also hoping Rage Against The Machine can at least survive the first round as it is quality song, just not to Buzzjack's usual tastes.

 

It's got to be The Proclaimers - I love a novelty track but this is not it.

I can’t believe we’ve found 6 people that hate Hung Up but Basshunter has no votes. And what always bugs me about these polls is these people never ever speak up.

I don't dislike 'Hung Up' but I'm here for it becoming a shock early exit just to spice things up. :kink:
