Finishing in 8th place is the incredible 'Fun Tonight'. She wrote it about a time where the people around her tried to cheer her up, but she had no ability to be happy at that moment. Although the lyrics are some of her saddest to date, she manages to turn the vibe into something hopeful in the chorus and the chanting of the post-chorus. “I’m feelin’ the way that I’m feelin’, I’m feelin’ with you, I’m not havin’ fun tonight”, she declares over the straightforward poppy production by BLOODPOP and Burns. An impeccable pop song!

Voted for 'Free Woman' - good but I feel like I should love it more than I actually do, which I don't feel about anything else remaining.

Glad that 'Replay' has lasted a couple more rounds, I guess it'll be gone this time though.

Fun Tonight really takes off in the second half.

 

Switching to '911' now controversially as it was just inside my top 5 very recently. But Replay has overtaken it in my affections now!

My opinions on '911' keep changing. It's obviously a banger but I'm finding the chorus is now falling a little flat which is disappointing considering how brilliant the verses are.

 

I have zero idea what I'll be voting for from round 8 :mellow:
