November 17, 20205 yr McFly actually are coming to outsell their last album's debut then. Where has this sudden interest in their comeback come from, there was very little sign of it at all from the single releases  What did Above The Noise open with?
November 17, 20205 yr Tesco doesn't stock McFly Young Dumb Thrills at present for some reason. They said they might in the future. Tesco are phasing out/cutting down on the amount the CD's they are selling. I believe some of the smaller stores have stopped completely. Edited November 17, 20205 yr by gavindeejay

November 17, 20205 yr It takes around 85k to go top 40. Not long to go then eh hun. Bet you are super thrilled! I am. Thanks hun. Just Carol
November 17, 20205 yr Is Sophie Ellis-Bextor likely to keep a top 10 position? I'm so hopeful but have that awful gut feeling it will end up at #11
November 17, 20205 yr Mcfly going to do 20k plus. BMG again getting them good promo slots etc BMG going to have Steps everywhere on the 27th you can tell I certainly hope so
November 17, 20205 yr That album top 3 looks likely to stay the same for Friday, Kylie in with a chance of number 4, stop crying your heart out looks likely to end up at 3 or 4 now. Ya really hope bmg pull out all the stops for Steps on the 27th.
November 17, 20205 yr I’m really struggling to predict who the big sellers over Christmas in the album charts are going to be this year. Last year was Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams, Harry Styles and Stormzy. With a few exceptions, the potential big hitters have already been released now (unless I’m missing something)? I’ve no idea if acts like AC/Dc, Kylie and Little Mix will be able to sustain album sales until over Christmas. Edited November 17, 20205 yr by iain
November 17, 20205 yr Gary Barlow will definitely be up there. STEPS could be consistent sellers throughout Christmas too. I think all through November there is at least one huge release a week? Unsure about December - but with shops hoping to be open, I wonder what sales will be like? It'll be a lot quieter than last Christmas still as even though things will likely be open for business, people will still be unsure about making journeys etc.. EDIT: Whether BTS manage to do more than their usual fanbase buys throughout the Q4 period, remains to be seen. I assume so.

I think Paul McCartney's album will get Number 1 Xmas album this year. Edited November 17, 20205 yr by Better Man

Yeah there’s still Gary Barlow, Steps, Miley, Shawn Mendes, Michael Ball, BTS, so big names. With the exception of Michael Ball and maybe Gary Barlow (though I think maybe he’ll do a Paloma Faith and underperform), I just don’t think any of those artists are going to be pulling in 70k sales during the Christmas week.
November 17, 20205 yr 17,662 at Number 20. So the opening sales for Young Dumb Thrills won't be far off their last album, which makes sense. It shows that their fans have mostly stayed loyal after all these years.
November 17, 20205 yr Has Dolly Parton just done some promo somewhere? Up to 5 on iTunes with her Christmas Album
November 17, 20205 yr Has Dolly Parton just done some promo somewhere? Up to 5 on iTunes with her Christmas Album Yeah she was on The One Show!

I think seeing they sold out the o2 Arena in minutes last year shown that the fans are still there even after the huge break. Hopefully this album hangs around the charts a while.
