Out in ninth place is Bob the Builder with the second landslide defeat of this series. After scoring the Christmas Number One the previous year, Bob returned to the charts in September 2001 and gave us a cover version no one asked for. 'Mambo No. 5' entered the chart at #1, giving Bob his second consecutive chart topper - thankfully his chart success ended here: his follow-up 'Big Fish Little Fish' limped into the chart at #81. :cheer: Fun fact: The song was banned from UK radio in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks due to its lyrics about building renovation.

I think I'll have to vote for America now although there are a couple more on my hit list.

RIP Bob, we hardly knew ye.

Gonna be voting for 'The Promise' for a while now I think.

In my opinion a very strong set of songs left. Gone with America

Interesting fact there! I knew it was #1 at the time of 9/11 but not that it got banned from radio. We sure it wasn't just because it's shit?

This marks the end of any meaningful participation on my part as I'll be voting Bad Romance every time from now (except in the last round obv).

Foundations to leave
Gonna be voting for 'The Promise' for a while now I think.

I PRAY that it's next after Razorlight. Kate Nash can not go before the halfway point

Has to be America. Such a boring song.

Poor 'America'. Razorlight are definitely one of the most boring bands there was though but that 'Before I Fall To Pieces' & 'Wire To Wire' I quite liked despite that fact. 'In The Morning' however :puke:

There's two songs that need the shove next it's 'Foundations' (should have been first out in an ideal world as I detest it) & 'The Promise'. I think I'll help out with GA then return to Kate!

I also don't like 'These Words' either. I know I'm like the only one there though.

America clearly the weakest for me, then it's a case of opting for the least of the good. Kate Nash, Craig David or Natasha - don't rate any of them as much as I did at the time
