These are my only charting hits in the UK I believe. All happened after I entered them.

10 Vance Joy 'Riptide'

31 London Grammar 'Wasting My Young Years'

72 Billie Eilish 'Ocean Eyes'

Quite a few of my entries are known in other ways though;

Electric Love and Jenny have gone Tik Tok viral in the last year. Montaigne is representing Australia this year in Eurovision. Smile.dk 'Butterfly' was previously famous from 'Made in China' toy phones. Glass Animals are currently in the UK top 40 with another song. Snakehips have had a few top 40 hits since. Vivaldi 'Winter' probably would've been #1 if they had charts back then.

Pre-contest:

#16 - Alice Deejay - The Lonely One

#16 - Aphex Twin - Windowlicker

#18 - Motiv8 / Angie Brown - Rocking For Myself

___ - Me & My - Dub-I-Dub (European hit)

Post-contest:

#61 - Jessie Ware - 110% (If You're Never Gonna Move)

Oops xXx

Pre-Contest:

#01 | 27th Britney Spears - Everytime (Hi-Bias Remix) > Adding this here, despite it being a remix <

During Contest: > Basically, confirmed shortly after premier and radio airplay started picking up by the time the contest was over <

#36 | 26th The Yeah You's - 15 Minutes

#08 | 15th Lemar - The Way Love Goes

Post Contest:

#05 | 10th Keri Hilson feat. Ne-Yo & Kanye West - Knock You Down

#33 | 04th NERVO & Nicky Romero - Like Home

Smile.dk 'Butterfly' was previously famous from 'Made in China' toy phones.

And was also sort of brought to the UK top 40 being sampled on the iconic 'Enter The Ninja' by Die Antwoord!

If South Africa had an official chart, many of our entries would have charted for sure! Tyla most recently was top 40 on Spotify here

I'm fairly sure none of my entries have troubled the UK chart.

On the Hot 100, Lauren Alaina - Road Less Traveled peaked at #67 (after I sent it) and Voice Of The Beehive - Scary Kisses peaked at #77 (decades before I sent it!)

There are a small handful of my entries that have been minor hits in the UK, all from pretty early on (before the veto was a thing and back when I didn't care as much / at all about actually finding obscure songs and sourced all of my entries just from nighttime Radio 1 shows, naturally many of which ended up being picked up on the daytime playlist and pushed to the mainstream). 2 of those were top 40 hits. I think most if not all of these only charted after I sent them but cba to look all the dates up so that might not necessarily be the case x

BJSC 19 UK #12 deadmau5 - Ghosts 'N' Stuff (feat. Rob Swire)

BJSC 21 UK #76 The Temper Trap - Fader

BJSC 23 UK #39 Vampire Weekend - Cousins

BJSC 27 UK #55 Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey

BJSC 31 UK #76 Beth Ditto - I Wrote The Book (it was an EP that charted technically but this was the lead / focus track from it so close enough)

BJSC 38 UK #49 Joe Goddard - Gabriel (feat. Valentina)

BJSC 47 UK #58 Angel Haze - New York

Since then the closest thing to crossover between Persephonia and the UK charts is BROCKHAMPTON and ROSALÍA both going on to have a couple of minor hits after I sent them and Fatoumata Diawara who had a low top 100 hit with a Disclosure collab a little while before I sent her (+ Dawn Richard also had a UK chart history as a member of Diddy - Dirty Money). Most of the other artists I've sent in the last decade have pretty much zero chance of making any meaningful mainstream crossover in the UK but I do hold out some hope for J.I.D, Rico Nasty and 070 Shake (I don't really dig too deep when it comes to my more hip-hop leaning entries as I tend to think BuzzJack doesn't really care about rappers with Internet buzz xx).

There are a few other songs that I'd considered sending to BJSC which went on to be UK hits (Chris Malinchak 'So Good To Me' and Hannah Wants/Chris Lorenzo 'Rhymes' coming to mind) but I didn't actually get around to sending them.

this thread also reminds me I was very close to being able to claim another top 10 hit having had Armin van Buuren - This Is What It Feels Like as a Potential. probably would've done better in the contest than the song I ended up sending, The Aston Shuffle - Sunrise which was a DNQ.
Unless I’ve forgotten something obvious then I think it’s Karen Harding, still love it now - Whitney would have been jealous!

I think that's what I said to you when you sent it to be as a potential all those years ago!

UK charts:

#7 The Magician feat. Years & Years - Sunlight

#67 Golden Boy feat. Missin Kittin - Rippin Kittin

Canada

#12 Chromeo - Jealous (I Ain't With It)

Australia

#22 Robert DeLong - Global Concepts

Top 100 The Kite String Tangle - Given the Chance
