November 17, 20214 yr Taylor = desperate. She's no Adele when it comes to album sales. It's about time artists were investigated over these signed items. If an artist isn't personally autographing the products, the record label shouldn't be listing them as genuine. They should only make available what an artist is willing and able to sit down and sign instead of getting a lackey to do it for them. I'm side-eyeing Taylor Swift, Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Little Mix big time. A few photos and short videos showing them signing a couple of items isn't proof they're signing all of them. Pathetic.
November 17, 20214 yr Labels aren’t doing themselves any favours hiking the price of vinyls and selling potentially fake signed cds - once consumer trust and goodwill goes they’re going to struggle to get it back.
November 17, 20214 yr 30k?! Good lord. :lol: Great to see her on course for 60k+. Hopefully ABBA will be near or pass 50k. I guess there's a small chance ABBA could still beat her if they increase their sales but not sure they will (they did 10k last Thursday IIRC which was its highest mon-thursday day I think). Ed must be on for good sales again this week if he's going to overtake Little Mix. Looks like the top 10 will have relatively healthy sales this week which is great!
November 17, 20214 yr Labels aren’t doing themselves any favours hiking the price of vinyls and selling potentially fake signed cds - once consumer trust and goodwill goes they’re going to struggle to get it back. CD prices are being hiked up. As a long term CD collector I'm on the verge of boycotting new CD releases and moving over to apple music, and possibly selling away my existing collection. I really don't want to but the cost is harder and harder to justify.

Just shows the demand is there if enough product is provided, I doubt we'll get as many with the other TV's unless they're in weeks as competitive as this

November 17, 20214 yr I very rarely comment on here, but I feel I have to. This is one of the reasons I don't follow the charts no more, absolutely disgraceful tactics by people like Taylor Swift! These are fake numbers ones and should be banned. People on here saying, Taylor Swift is an amazing seller, wouldn't we all be if we released tons of formats and signed CDs. If Taylor Swift is so great; why didn't she pit herself against Adele next week. We all know why, because Adele would obliterate her in the first day. FAKE NUMBER ONE
November 17, 20214 yr I mean… no, not everyone would sell that much if they only released multiple formats and signed CDs. They'd need the audience to actually buy them. And the demand for them in the first place to make it worth the time/money to offer that incentive. You can't just launch an album with multiple physical formats as a random no name (hell it's probably difficult to release an album in more than very limited quantities even on a single physical format without having a certain level of label support / fanbase demand).

She’s released 2 for this album - a CD and a vinyl, most weeks the #1 album is available on 10+ variations Fake #1? I posted previously out of all the #1 albums this year only 7 artists haven’t offered signed copies, and nearly every #1 has been available on CD, and multiple cassette and vinyl variants. We can’t blame artists/record companies manipulating the chart rules, much like the single charts has always been manipulated in various eras (Multiple physicals, multiple download versions etc.,)
