Only 33 here and not only would I like CDs as gifts, I’ve bought some as gifts to other under 40s this year.

I mean this is a Chart forum, so obviously there will be people on here who like CD’s. My point is casual listeners under 40 are no longer buying CD’s and the number will keep on declining.

Even in HMV now CD’s are at the back and feel like an after thought, it’s all about vinyl now.

In the hmv I go to it all about the culture like posters/T-shirts etc of Stranger Things and pther tv shows but there’s an extensive vinyl and cd section on the second floor! But near 900k cds sold last week shows near 1 in 70 people still purchase them.

No, we haven’t had it. You’ll have to be patient with updates.

There was no update for yesterday, those are not guaranteed every day of the week, there will be probably one late today.
I guess we shouldn't expect any Monday or Tuesday updates next week with those days being Bank Holidays. OCC will probably do theirs on Wednesday - whether that'll include any more data than usual is uncertain.

You can work if you want but there's literally no updates compiled on bank holidays so it'd be a waste of your time :sarah:

In a way is a shame we won’t get a Monday update as it would be hilarious - virtually the whole Top 100 Christmas songs probably!

Music Week have not updated the site with new articles today, so its looking like no mids tonight, MW staff are probably having a Christmas party :D :heehee:

It will probably apply to next week as well, and we have an extra Bank Holiday, your best friend will have to be the iTunes chart :P

Food banks wouldn't be necessary id not for the evil Tories!!!

And let's face it, Fad half a billi Sheeran could donate a lot more without desperately hounding the charts with this nonsense!!

What a load of old SHITE!

It’s true Mark Hoyle doesn’t seem to see the link between food banks and the politics of the current government, whether it’s the right way to go about making a point is another arguement completely though!

Music Week staff, or what remains of them, have already started their Christmas break from what I can see. We got a Wednesday update from MW last year just before Christmas and they were already on their Christmas break.
The fact the OCC haven’t updated us daily shows there’s not much of an Xmas No1 battle!
