December 23, 20214 yr The Kunts seem to have about a dozen versions Top 50 on iTunes, definitely wouldn't rule them out from staying Top 10 and maybe even improving a place or two from Wednesday's update.
December 23, 20214 yr Most of those versions will be getting about 50 sales max, though I guess it starts to add up a bit with so many. They’ll need a big boost just to offset the hammering they’ll get from the missing streams. I’ll be surprised if they do much more than maintain their position and won’t be surprised if they still drop out of the 10.
December 23, 20214 yr They now have 12 versions of the song top 25 on iTunes, with the highest now up to number 2 and the lowest at number 25.
December 23, 20214 yr I love The Kunts. I'm sorry, but they're great. Women Love a bast*rd is my favourite. Period Pants is another good one.
December 23, 20214 yr The beef with LadBaby is really helping The Kunts today, I think this is the highest the original version of their song has been all week! Number 2 - ahead of the 2nd version of LadBaby's track - must be shifting some sales. And a new peak for the Cassetteboy remix, too. 4 versions of it in the top 10 alone. December 23, 20214 yr Looks like Ed Sheeran will be the first artist since Westlife in 1999 to have four #1s in the same year
December 23, 20214 yr All this LadBaby stuff absolutely stinks. Hope this is the last we ever see of them.
December 23, 20214 yr Yeah the chart on the 31st of December will still be absolutely packed with Christmas songs, the first proper chart of 2022 with all the Christmas songs gone will be the following Friday the 7th of January. This does not make any sense....
December 23, 20214 yr This does not make any sense.... Yes it does. The chart on 31st will cover Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, when streaming for Christmas songs will be huge. How does that not make sense?
December 23, 20214 yr Even last year when Xmas songs only had one day of significant streaming in the post Xmas Chart a lot of them rose or stayed steady, they'll definitely increase this year
December 23, 20214 yr Yes it does. The chart on 31st will cover Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, when streaming for Christmas songs will be huge. How does that not make sense? Even more confusing it’s chart week ending 6th Jan 2022 😂
December 24, 20214 yr Yeah, it used to be quite common for Christmas songs to still be selling well into January, although I'm not completely sure why.
December 24, 20214 yr All this LadBaby stuff absolutely stinks. Hope this is the last we ever see of them. It’s not my cup of tea but it is all for charity. I just wish somebody would release a decent charity song for Christmas rather than this naff stuff!
December 24, 20214 yr Yeah, it used to be quite common for Christmas songs to still be selling well into January, although I'm not completely sure why. In the physical era there was no guarantee people would be able to buy the song the following Christmas so it makes sense that leftover stock would continue selling through January. With downloads and now streaming this is no longer an issue.
December 24, 20214 yr I was today years old when I found out that LadBaby is a Tory. @1473980431922081798 Edited December 24, 20214 yr by daniellovesmusic
December 24, 20214 yr We can just hope to god they don't do it again next year... but they probably will!
