“The question is what have you streamed, viewed and bought more of?”

Umm actually it’s Wham! :kink:

The first criteria when presenting the chart should be knowing how it works

All I Want For Christmas Is You is number 1 again on the US Hot 100 - its Mariah's 86th week at number 1 on the US Hot 100 - 26 weeks ahead of Rihanna in second place.

The amount of times "cheesy wotsit" has deprived 'Last Christmas' of #1!

Ed Sheeran and Elton John join Ariana Grande as the only artists to replace themselves at number 1 for two consecutive weeks.

Always love a chart filled with Christmas music even if Christmas has been, great to see so many new peaks

Still enjoying Merry Christmas but perfectly happy to see it stay at #1! They should've put Elton as the lead artist to avoid the 3-track rule but I doubt they care about nice chart runs as much as I do ;)

I think Liam and Chess did a decent job of hosting today! And of course thanks Joseph for another year of dedicated chart hosting ^_^

I really hope this Ed and Elton song is only a hit this year and doesn't go #1 till its on ACR

they said they recorded 3 christmas songs so i reckon they'll release 1 each year to get the #1s each december

Ed got double this week

I really like Merry Christmas so I'm happy enough that it's No.1 again, also good to have a modern festive chart topper and not something ancient again, as great as Wham! and Mariah are. 33 of the top 40 heading out next week then!

Ed Sheeran has now replaced himself at #1 three times in the same year (2021) and four times altogether. Both are firsts.

glad to see Sia, Jona Lewie reach top 40 , Chris Rea make top 10. For me, Wham at no. 1 would have been the icing on the Christmas cake lol

Thanks all for joining, thank god there weren't any hiccups this week lol...!!! Happy New Year to you all!

Release strategy. He obviously wanted to replace himself more times than Bieber.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

I would have loved to have seen what the mids looked like on Monday this week before the Christmas songs fell, maybe a whole top 40 of Christmas

Release strategy. He obviously wanted to replace himself more times than Bieber.

And absolutely no one cares about two of those songs from tomorrow on.

Thanks Joseph for all your amazing work over the year! Happy New Year all.

Thanks for hosting as ever Joseph, especially with the lack of mids to prep from this week!

'Merry Christmas' would have been better as a standalone Ed song imo. Eltons vocals at his age aren't too great lol (although 'Cold Heart' wasn't too bad for him I guess). Looking forward to next week/years chart to see some PHRESH (old songs + 'Love Grows'..) and FRESH music :kink:

I don't like to be unkind to anyone but today's show felt pretty amateurish, especially the male presenter. Clunky and error strewn. Makes you appreciate a good presenter like Scott more.

Thanks to Joseph for hosting these threads this year, really enjoyed them!
