March 14, 20224 yr A little disappointed Ella’s only at #7 on the albums chart. Hopefully she can creep up a few places, unlikely I know.
March 14, 20224 yr Hopefully 'The Motto' can hold top 15 but 'Go' will likely overtake. Edited March 14, 20224 yr by Roba.
March 14, 20224 yr Wow at Rex! That was the figure I was expecting for Bryan Adams So hes not doing bad, its jutst that Rex is doing better than expected More surprised at the low figures x TheShires not even 5k Ella is doing as expected, 3k, they should have released some cheap cassettes And do bundles, not sure if a vinyl was worth it if she doesnt have the fanbase
March 14, 20224 yr Something In The Way at #93 :cheeseblock: Nirvana could have their first charting song since 1993... when Kurt was alive :( Looks like everything on DCL-2 last week went to ACR, but it'll be another slow week in the Top 10 - I suppose Night Away could replace Bruno by Friday (though I'd be happy if it didn't)
March 14, 20224 yr I’m not sure how the OCC are accounting for BMW’s Spotify streams? If they were all legit (which we know they aren’t) the song would be pushing for the top 10 now, it’s been rising on Apple therefore it’s still up from last week but I’m not sure how the OCC can know which of its Spotify streams are legit?

I don't know how about how the OCC/Spotify distinguishes the (iirc) maximum 10 streams per person per day for ANY song either. Edited March 14, 20224 yr by TheSnake
March 14, 20224 yr Florence top 50, Sam Ryder top 75, Nirvana top 100  love to see it (I mean top 40 for all would be even better but I'll take what I can get)
March 14, 20224 yr :o wow I didn't expect Rex Orange County to actually be a serious contender for the #1 album (and looks like he's very likely to hold onto it), very much here for it though! His previous output has been hit or miss for me but I've really liked both 'KEEP IT UP' and 'AMAZING' from this album, serving the wholesome string-laden bops. I think I will check out the rest of the album, intrigued to hear the Tyler collab in particular! Also cool to see Ghost as high as #2, their recent releases haven't grabbed my attention that much tbh but they've put out some cool stuff before, particularly love 'Square Hammer' which was sent to BJSC a few years ago. A big improvement for them from their last album charting at #10! Spoke too soon about Ella oops, her sales have fallen off a lot more than I expected eep. I guess her not playing the multi-format game too much doesn't help. Looks like the OCC have indeed remembered to move 'Screwface Capital' onto perma-ACR with it hitting its third birthday since it's disappeared and 'Location' has returned in its place. I was kind of hoping that this would be a case of them ignoring their rules for this rather unlikely niche scenario. Ah well, was cool to have it in the chart for a few weeks anyway!

My guess is that they’re being counted but mostly as free streams, hence it’s zooming up the Audio Streaming chart but not making so much progress on the official.
March 14, 20224 yr Yeah it looks that way indeed. Well at least the free/premium split is limiting how much this questionable Spotify surge can push them up the chart I guess.
March 16, 20224 yr Starlight's 36,578 sales puts it out in front in the singles race, ahead of new entry Baby by Aitch and Ashanti (28,948 sales). Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran’s Peru continues to perform well at No.3 (22,763 sales). Lost Frequencies & Calum Scott's Where Are You Now (19,346 sales), and Make Me Feel Good by Belters Only feat. Jazzy (18,048) complete the Top 5. In the albums race, UK singer-songwriter Rex Orange County's Who Cares? (13,543 sales) maintains a narrow lead over Ghost's Impera (11,712 sales). Bryan Adams' So Happy It Hurts is close behind at No.3, with 10,334 sales. The Shires' 10 Year Plan (5,794 sales) and Franz Ferdinand's Hits To The Head (5,525 sales) complete the Top 5. Last week's No.1, Stereophonics Oochya! falls to No.10 (3,298 sales). Source: MW
March 16, 20224 yr Ghost and Bryan Adams both outselling Rex over the last couple of days then, but I don't think it looks like the gaps are closing enough for the order to change by Friday. Who knows if any of them have more yet-to-be-counted physical sales to dump at the last minute though.
March 16, 20224 yr Any news on where Ella is? Well she’s certainly between 6 and 9 given those latest figures…
March 16, 20224 yr not bad for the top 3 albums, really surprised at Ghost, their last album opened with 8K so big improve on the other hand, Shires have suffered a huge drop in fortunes, last album did 12K, so surprised they're barely on 5K now
