With Jack Harlow's 'Dua Lipa' hitting the Top 40 this week, this made me think what other Top 40 hits have titles which are celebrities. These are the ones that came to mind, apols if I've missed your faves, although feel free to mention any I've missed.

 

(And before anyone comes for me, I've restricted it to songs where the entire title is the name of a celebrity which is why there's no 'Walks Like Rihanna' or 'She's Madonna', I'd have been there all night otherwise).

Think 'Clint Eastwood' is my fave of these but it's a pretty strong list overall, I don't actually dislike any of them (there are a couple I haven't heard though). Also voted for 'Thiago Silva', 'Barbra Streisand', 'Grace Kelly', 'Marilyn Monroe' and 'Buddy Holly'.

Since it's a multiple choice I gave a vote to everything I thought was decent (Gorillaz/Fall Out Boy/AJ & Dave/Duck Sauce/Mika/Pharrell/Weezer).

 

If I had to pick a single favourite it would be Clint Eastwood though.

 

The songs named after Marvin Gaye and Post Malone- the less said the better. :kink:

The Charlie Puth and Sam Feldt ones are total abominations.

I’m going to be that annoying fan that always nitpicks about everything and anything. :kink:

 

The list is in fact very strong, you have clearly spent some time researching and preparing the list. The term celebrity is very subjective but… I think the names in the list are all certainly famous people and rightly belong in the poll. :)

 

I immediately started to think of names that could be added to the list and here is what I came up with (for now at least);

Just realised this is a blatant lie. That Sam Feldt song is of course awful. Just overlooked it, perhaps because I wish for it to remain a repressed memory. x (edit: and so is the Charlie Puth song lol, I really should have double checked before making that comment)
