It's back to a design challenge for ya girls

Wow, they really pulled it out of the bag this week. Trinity's was easily the best but the 2nd win could have gone to anyone from Jaida, Monet, Shea, Yvie.

 

Jinkx and the Viv did okay, and Raja was super disappointing.

 

The Viv was super dumb for playing the petty-game and blocking Jinkx, when if she'd taken the past pattern and blocked Jaida, who was next in line to have a block, Jaida wouldn't be the current frontrunner.

 

Great episode though, again. I like that it's getting more strategic.

I actually think Yvie had my favourite look, because it was very inspired by and informed by the Ru look, but very Yvie, it was a great melding of both styles. I feel like some of the others were a bit more close to the original which is fine, but I loved how Yvie (and Shea) approached it in that way. Trinity and Jaida's were immaculately made so I get them being top 2, Monet's was brilliant too so it could have been any of those 5 in the top! Jinkx was decent, Viv and Raja were the weakest for me. Viv was fine but I feel like it was too close to the original and Raja being the worst in a design challenge was a shock but I just feel like she had so many concepts in her head that they cancelled out and it was a mishmash. It wasn't TERRIBLE but it honestly looked like when someone is rushing a design challenge and accidentally makes an OK look but you can tell it was thrown together :lol: I doubt that was the case I just think it was TOO conceptual and didn't quite work.

 

I kinda get Viv blocking Jinkx as you don't know what the challenges are and anything except performance (which we just had) and design you could bank on her winning easily, so I guess the little petty part of her brain winning out is understandable, but I'd kick myself if I blocked Jinkx and it just ended up being a design challenge! Plus Jaida just got to 2 stars and is a huge competitor so it would have made more sense and she got to 2 without being blocked so is kinda flying under the radar.

 

Also shook that Trinity clearly won the lipsync, no shade but I think Jaida is probably the most versatile lipsyncer you can bank on to always kill it whereas Trinity is usually a bit campy, but she dialled that back in this song and it was so so good.

Another great episode, the right two won I believe. Wouldn’t have bothered blocking Yvie though as she’s just there this season being her irritating self.

 

Trinity is doing an amazing job, really think her or Jinkx should take the win atm.

 

What was Rajas look, if that was a normal season by anyone else it would’ve been read to filth.

Another episode that reminds you of how great these queens are! Trinity and Jaida were the right top two again and happy that Trinity got the win this time. Yvie also probably the fairest pick for the plunger. Viv, Shea and Monet were also very good in this challenge as well as Yvie and Jinx improving on their previous design challenge efforts. Guess this one just wasn't Raja's as she's proven before she's great at this but perhaps the materials available weren't capable of creating what she was attempting. Looked decent but I wonder if that's only being on a model body.

 

Who would've thought that Jaida would be an outright leader a few weeks ago? :o

A great episode with so many beautiful looks. Trinity and Jaida were the clear top 2 for me. I still have no idea who's going to be in the top 4. I think we have 4 more episodes left before the final? It's all so close still!

Gosh the lipsync songs are uniformly bad this season though aren't they?

 

Trinity and Jaida really ate that up & Monet did surprisingly well too. Its a shame Shea's was unfinished. Raja's was straight up bad, what was that??

Jaida was my favourite but Yvie was definitely up there for me too — I just loved seeing her in something more clean and minimal. Probably one of her most fashion moments, and she looked stunning.

 

Trinity is an insanely talented designer and seamstress but I am just a little bored with her aesthetic.

I have to agree about Trinity. Her seamstress abilities are magnificent but she doesn't have the taste level of, say, Raja. (Usually)

I LOVE JAIDA ESSENCE HALL SO MUCH, UGH.

I’m not a fan of Jessie J at all but I Want Love is genuinely a great lipsync song no? There have been some awful lipsync songs- Love Will Save The Day, Better In Colour but this is was a good choice I thought- it’s high-energy, disco, camp drama!

Shea was the winner this week for me. Sublime.
