So it's being heavily rumoured that Adele will break her tradition of long breaks between music to drop a brand new album towards the end of the year.

 

She has apparently already filmed the music video for the lead single

Although the last album wasn't as strong as the first three, so I hope she ups the ante

A full album would be a surprise, but figure she has to do something to promote tour tour and capitalise on end of year sales. A deluxe edition of 30 would be nice enough, ideally with an I Drink Wine radio edit.

Back rollier and quicker than normal *.* hopefully something a little more interesting because as much as I'm a fan of hers, 30 really wasn't up to scratch for me.

It's all over Twitter, apparently the Source is pretty reliable although I don't know for sure

30 wasn’t up to scratch for many of you because it was much more R&B influenced than any of her previous records, as opposed to the pop balladry we’ve come to expect from her. I personally thought 30 was her greatest work to date conceptually, thematically, and sonically.

 

I suspect her next record will be a lot less emotional and probably an experimental fun record to represent where she is at in her life right now.

 

However, I don’t believe the rumour she is dropping an album this year. It seems way too soon but it would be a nice surprise.

Will have a look, thank you. I totally forgot the album was late 2021. I had it in my head that '30' was released in 2022. Sometimes I forget the month/year altogether :P

I could believe a deluxe version of 30 dropping with a few new tracks.

 

But a whole brand new album this year? Never say never but I strongly doubt it.

Tbh I don't know how reliable this rumour is either. It seems to have stemmed from a couple tweets about a "reliable insider" which hasn't been named. And then just snowballed from there.

I'm not convinced of a new album (that'd be quite a turn up for the books), but then I'm not convinced a 30 re-release is any more likely. She's basically left that campaign dead in the water since the start of the year and it feels like a very distant memory now.

I think a brand new album is virtually impossible, no singer songwriter does 1 new album in 1 year, especially someone like Adele that usually needs like 5 years on average

 

Pretty sure if something is coming it's a Deluxe of 30

 

hopefully it's some new tracks done this year and not leftovers from the original sessions, 30 was bad enough, mostly cos she was zero inspired

so hopefully she's been back in the studio for a couple of more inspired tracks
