Welcome to the Grand Final of our search for the worst Number 1 hit of the last 70 years! To make the final more exciting we have decided to use private voting - please PM me (chartjack2) your votes by Sunday 30 October. Please do not post votes in the thread, but general discussion is of course welcome and encouraged.

The information thread explaining the background to the idea is here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=256958

We will be running a listen-through session from 4pm on Saturday 22 October to help us all make our minds up how to vote, and as a chance to listen to any unfamiliar songs. A link to the Synctube room will be posted shortly beforehand in this thread. Do join us for this if you can as we review and have a good chat about all the contenders!

We hope that as many of you as possible will vote, even if you have not voted in any or all of the previous rounds. There are only 10 pre-1980 songs this time so hopefully that will be manageable if you are less familiar with the early ones. Please do familiarise yourself with all the songs before voting and try to avoid recency bias or anti-bias.

To vote, please rank all the songs on the following scale:

+40 - your worst

+39 - your second worst

...

+1 - your least bad

For your votes to count, please give a score to all songs.

I won't have time to vote in this (going on holiday tomorrow sans phone til after the 30th) but my +40 would have been JLS (just atrocious) and my +2 would have been Teletubbies (nostalgic) and +1 Come On You Reds (guilty pleasure from childhood)
Keep the votes coming! Will be playing the list on Synctube from 4pm on Saturday. Do join in the background to help make up your mind, or join us in the chat! :D
I tried to vote in this the other day but found it difficult to order anything. It’s basically all rubbish of pretty much equal hatred bar the Teletubbies anthem

All the finalists are equal - but some are more equal than others ;)

Just a few days left to vote in this!

I think if you’ve voted in the heats it should be quite easy to merge your rankings together, and even if you haven’t it’s not that hard really.

I’m not aware that this poll has ever been done, not with such a discerning bunch of voters and carefully selected contenders anyway.

Winner to be revealed on the 70th anniversary of the charts remember, so it should be quite a special moment!

Oops I meant to send my votes in for this right after the listenthrough but forgot - please remind me on Sunday if I still haven't got around to it xx
Voted, they're all pretty awful apart from one which I like and a small handful I don't mind. I feel no need to ever hear 95% of them again.
