i doubt anyone was expecitng more ngl. 0 hit singles and barely any hype outside her fan base so not surprised. hope it holds the top 5 though as its a bloody good album that deserrves so much more

hope pink can at least get one top 40 from this era even if so far both releases have been sub-par from her! Id prefer NGNDA to do it since it keeps missing out week on week but it will be nice to hopefully see her in the top 40 again

shame both rita and zara singles are flopping as both are huuuuge bops, but its definitely not surprising. hope they can unexpectedly go tiktok viral at some stage lol!

It's a shame for acts like Rita or Zara, no matter how good thersnfs are, I think they are both past the point of any streaming support and I dont think either quite have the fanbase to get a properly decent selling album either.

 

I guess they could just do what the likes of Tove and Carly do and release strong pop albums and go on your every so often to sustain a fanbase/success.

Nice to see Freya in now. Still not convinced it'll reach top 40 but a top 75 peak would still be good I think!

Really poor sales so far for Sam, let’s be honest

Was thinking Sam would be on a bit more at this stage.

 

Also hopefully Ava Max can stay top 10, such a good album.

Wow really underwhelming sales for both Sam and Ava, hoping the latter can hold up at least for a top 10 debut (maybe even all physical sales haven't been reported as of yet?)

Hope Ava can stay top 10 with some form of price drop / physical sales push.

 

Definitely thought Sam Smith would’ve been on more though. In the past they’ve had great album sales and a bit of an older fanbase too. Should likely still easily be #1 this week though. I still think Sam is capable of getting another hit single in the future but maybe the days of them being both a single and albums artist are no more. (To echo the above post have all physical copies been shipped yet for both Sam and Ava..).

Freya's climbing every day on Apple so she could hang on tbh. Depends if she stalls suddenly or not!

Sam's sales are about what I expected - their last album only did 23.8k first week so this one probably isn't going to be that much of a decrease from that! (though tbf that album was a fairly dramatic drop from the opening of the previous one). Ava is doing about as I'd have expected as well, if anything her last album overperformed.

 

Here we go again with 'Never Gonna Not Dance Again' once again being midweek top 40 :lol: this is, what, the 4th/5th time? Tbh even if it never makes the top 40 its longevity has been really respectable.

 

Oh lord at that Luke Combs song showing up in the top 100 somehow. That's one of the worst current US country hits, can definitely do without that becoming a thing here please. Gives me the heebie jeebies, I do not need to hear Luke Combs singing about "making love" :puke: On a much more positive note though, great to see Freya Ridings making an appearance now, I really hope this can turn into a slow burning hit as it's a really strong comeback imo!

 

The Reytons currently with a 1-38 drop - guess they will at least get a second top 100 week, I suppose the publicity around their achievement as an independent band may be helping shift a few more copies. Måneskin still being as 'high' as #45 seems decent by current standards as well, hope they don't drop too much more by the end of the week.

Freya's song has been out for several weeks and is rising, don't see why she would be peaking in this update. Rita might be at risk of dropping out but I doubt it, #77 is a fairly secure position except for really frontloaded hits.

I know Ava's debut album was buoyed by hit singles but out of interest what did that open with? Definitely though Sam would be on slightly more sales, especially with 'Unholy' being such a big hit. Are they doing the variants thing or not?
