I'm voting Perfect Day, certainly this cover version is something I never need to hear again.

Gone for Will Smith first but wouldn't be fussed at 'Perfect Day' going either as that'd be my next choice!

Save the tubbies for a round or two pls x

Teletubbies better not go first or I'll get my ban hammer out x

This is a decent list actually, very varied but some genuine classics here. Easy first vote for Elton - I don't mind Something... and the original Candle in the Wind is great, but the new version is so dull, over-sentimental and sickly that surely even Diana herself would've puked x

Also going for Elton, I can appreciate some others in a guilty pleasure kind of way but would never seek that out myself
Puff Daddy and company. I've never managed to get on board with it, it's a pretty lazy and bizarre choice of cover.

This is a decent list. I'm already at the point of having to vote out Don't Speak, simply because everything else is really RATHER GOOD

And yes, I completely am including the Teletubbies and Aqua in that. Any song that can shoehorn Mary Mary Quite Contrary into a number one hit is GOLDEN as far as I'm concerned

Candle In The Wind was sentimental guff, but Something About The Way You Look Tonight makes up for it

Ooh at least I'm not alone then

Though I fully expect that after raging about people voting for Robert Miles from the beginning in the last one of these but him ending up easily winning anyway I'll be that person with No Doubt this time x

3 amazing classics mixed with a couple of ok songs and then some abysmal ones, inclding one that I barely consider it a song :D
I'll Be Missing You. Meh!

1997 was the first full year I started to become interested in music, it was around mid to late 1996 when I first started.

So seeing this year end top 10 and actually not just knowing them all but also I remember seeing many of these on the Saturday morning music shows growing up.

Do I want to spend another 6 rounds, probably more, voting only for The Spice Girls? Not that I have any huge favourites here - I preferred a few of the songs which got turfed out early in the 1996 poll, albeit the correct song won!
