Really hope Sam can get that 2nd Top 40 - streaming is not strong for Mountains though so fear it’ll fade away over the week :nocheer:

A shame but at least it could still end up top 75 which is better than a couple of his recent singles didn't achieve!
They should have done the CD singles differently - 3 unsigned CD singles in a bundle for £2.99 doesn’t have mass appeal, he should have signed them and sold them for £1.99 or something

Live versions from each tour date have been released

iTunes

#5 Mountain

#27 Mountain (Eurovision Edit)

#134 Mountain (Liverpool Edition)

#135 Mountain (Birmingham Edition)

#151 Mountain (Leeds Edition)

#170 Mountain (Glasgow Edition)

#171 Mountain (London Edition)

#172 Mountain (Bournemouth Edition)

#173 Mountain (Manchester Edition)

#193 Mountain (Brighton Edition)

The CD singles are now available separately for 99p too - https://eurostore.warnermusic.com/gb/sam-ryder.html

They were released on the same day as the original weren't they? Pretty sure I remember them showing up in the iTunes updates from the first day. (The Eurovision edit is new though obvz)

This sounded good at Eurovision, still not quite to the standard of 'SPACE MAN' but better than the other stuff he's released since then. Shame it isn't looking like being another top 40 for him. I can see him continuing to be a decent album seller in the future at least though.

Good to to see the album re entering top 60 in todays mids, with Mountain i have to say its so so much better live, the studio version doesnt have the same energy.

The same record label that stopped PinkPantheress getting to #1 by not having signed CDs.

I think I prefer the Eurovision version of this to the single version, it's quite an anthemic song but maybe a little dated sounding. It feels a bit like he wanted to write his own You're The Voice, but some of the production touches feel more 90s than 80s. Still, I like it and it definitely deserves to go top 40, but I'm not interested in buying the CDs for it.
#23 in the update.

Love that the multiple download versions and £1.99 CD single campaign has paid off

Hope that means it's enough for him to hold top 40 and not fall like a stone in the next two days.
He really pushed the downloads and promised to "do his best" to give a personal thank you call to anyone who downloaded all the 13 live versions.

He did but most of it will be the CDs with £5.99 postage (!!!) that dispatched yesterday.

It entered at #35.

#1 for sales & physicals and #2 for downloads (behind Tattoo).

Crazy to see a sales #1 only hitting the lower reaches of the top 40 all in. I really think they should air the sales chart on one of the radio stations. Why not on radio 2?

Being sales #1 is not even enough to guarantee a place in the top 100 any more.

Ft. Brian May on guitar. It’s in the new Ted Lasso episode.

Quite like this. The chorus is basically ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ by Queen with different lyrics though.
