Plus this era for them has felt like a complete tumbleweed compared to the last, which had one massive hit going for it and also a promo single that went top 40.
‘Wings’ being the lead single didn’t help too. I’d have gone ‘Waffle House’, and then something like ‘Summer Baby’, and possibly even a third single before the album release.
I am shocked by Jonas Brothers thought they would have sold a lot more than 3k!

Well, 4.7k! Not great, but thankfully not as poor as 3k :P

aren't they on 3.7?

Ah I looked at Liam’s Music Week quote from the previous page which says 4,692 sales for the JoBros - I wonder what’s gone on there!

What’s the reasoning behind Daft Pubk’s return to the top 5 albums? Sorry if it’s already been asked

Interesting that Alessandra is actually ahead of Käärijä at the moment, I assume they'll probably swap over? Nice positions for both at the moment anyway considering they don't include the big Sunday streams yet, hope both should be comfortable top 20 hits if not top 10 contenders.

Did not know Overmono had the kind of fanbase to get a midweek top 10 album! I have heard them on Radio 1 a couple of times tbf but then there's plenty of acts that get the occasional R1 play and still struggle to chart at all. Great to see though, definitely one of the most exciting acts in electronic music right now.

When he did 76k last week thought he would do the 24k to go gold with ease that's a bigger 2nd week drop than was expecting , hope he does enough to go platinum but gonna take a while,

Good to see LGO top 40 though would love to see it make it Friday as it my favourite from the album

Not sure how much difference it'll ultimately make but some of the UK exclusive Jonas Brothers formats haven't shipped yet.

Oh... I'm really disappointed by Noa Kirel's midweek position here :(

I assumed she'd be right outside the top 40!

Update:

Loreen at #3, 2000 Units behind David Kushner

Mae Muller at #7

Käärijä at #11, 1000 units behind Harry Styles

Alessandra at #12

As Liverpool sweeps the last of the stray sequins from its streets, the Eurovision effect continues to impact the Official Chart.

Following the Eurovision Song Contest grand final at M&S Bank Arena last weekend, four acts look set to see their songs reach brand-new peaks on the Official Singles Chart this week; with winner Loreen, the UK's Mae Muller, Norway representative Alessandra and Finland's Käärijä all making big gains in today's update.

Let's take a look how things stand today, shall we?

Currently leading the charge is Sweden's Loreen, who became the first female in Eurovision history (and second person overall) to take home the trophy for a second time last weekend.

Her 2023 entry Tattoo currently tracks to make its UK Top 40 debut in the Top 5 - sitting at Number 3 in today's update. With less than 2000 chart units currently separating it from David Kushner's Daylight at Number 2, could it become the Stockholm-born singer-songwriter's highest UK chart placing ever?

Back in June 2012, Loreen's first winning Eurovision entry Euphoria peaked at Number 3 on the Official Singles Chart.

Also on the ascent is the UK's Mae Muller, who could see the Karen Poole and Lewis Thompson co-penned I Wrote A Song lift 38 spots to break the Top 10 and claim a new peak of Number 7 this Friday.

Elsewhere, runner-up Käärijä of Finland could celebrate his first-ever Top 40 entry with the brilliantly-bonkers Cha Cha Cha this week (11). The balls-to-the-wall anthem's less than 1000 chart units behind Harry Styles' enduring As It Was in today's update, too (10).

Finally, Norway powerhouse Alessandra could also enjoy her first-ever UK Top 40 entry with the mammoth Queen of Kings. The track - which placed fifth in last weekend's final - currently eyes a Number 12 debut.

G'won LorQueen!

I'm not feeling as confident about Mae's top 5 chances now, but even so top 10 would still be good. #7 is about what I expected from the outset after the completion anyway.

oh wow will be interesting to see Spotify's figures today
Surely Mae could scrape top 5 if the shipping of her CD’s happen this week!

Love that each year the impact in the UK charts is bigger and bigger - it’s how you attract artists and writers if the sales are their post contest regardless of the result.

Come on Mae - get those signed CDs shipped and snatch a Top 5 :w00t:

That's pretty great for Loreen to be top 3, largely on Sunday sales (as Monday streams won't be counted yet, and she wasn't selling as much on Fri and Sat). Seems pretty unlikely that Tattoo will miss the top five now, making it the highest non-UK entry since...Euphoria
I wonder if Loreen can overtake David and score her highest charting hit? I’ll be surprised if she does and overtakes Calvin too
