Yeah I’m not here for putting Madonna and Kylie (or anyone else for that matter) against each other I’m just over the moon two women over 50 are about to get chart hits in 2023! It takes almost a miracle for that to happen so the fact it’s happening for both of them, at the same time, is a great moment… just be happy!

Madonna is the worlds best selling female artist of all time… she has ZERO to prove, no records to break. She occupies a level that perhaps only the Beatles, Elvis and a few others have ever been in. From a UK charts pov she holds so many chart records (or did until streaming era made so many pure sales records obsolete).

As a fan, I’m so happy to see other female artists do well, including Kylie who has made some great tracks. Padam has grown on me.

For the record, there is no real comparison between the two as women, they are very different types of artists and performers. Madonna is a global legend, and Kylie in her own way is too, especially in UK. I just don’t get why some people put them against each other, they are chalk and cheese. Perhaps it’s because of their gay followings, but that’s it.

It's just what people do with successful women! Part of the 'stan' culture unfortunately. You never see anyone talking about male artists in the same way.

If the Dave/Cench songs are at #30 and #40 today, is there realistically enough time for them to climb into the top 10 by Friday? I'm hoping not!

Thank you bestie

Keep streaming little lipas

I can't rn. I am too busy actively streaming Padam and actively NOT streaming Desperate Debby Ed Sheeran and Dave.

I think it's more likely than not they'll have at least 2 in the top 10, bear in mind the gap between #10 and #30 is pretty small at the moment! (Only ~10k in the final chart last week so probably in the ballpark of 6k in the current midweek update? Surprised we don't have an exact sales leak for Kylie at #10 unless I missed it being posted)

At very least one of them will almost definitely be in the top-10. The highest new track ‘Trojan Horse’ sold 8k for essentially just 1 day of streams, unless Apple Music reported on time. And the second day’s hold was very decent too.

It’s going to be close.

From what I understand from another post, streams won’t count toward this weeks sales figures after midnight tonight. :( I have done my fair share of streaming as well as purchasing multiple formats too.

13,908 for Kylie

Come on Kylie, to think she is even in with a chance of Top 10 is something else, ,Noel and the Foos sales have really slowed down not a huge surprise and the gap is still small but its looking like Foo Fighters will get the number 1, annoying for who ends up at number 2 as in so many other weeks it would be a very easy number 1. Sophie EB also looks like she will miss the top 5 but Top 10 is safe.
I wish we knew Louise’s sales and how safe or not she is in the Top 10. Would be a shame if she missed out again (her previous album was Top 10 in every midweek but ended up charting at #11).
Yeah apparently Kylie is at #12 and that’s without the extra Dave songs above her… I think we can expect anywhere from 13-15 tomorrow.
I’ve read that Kylie is #12 todays midweek (300 sales away from Top 10) :nocheer:

Not sure why you are disappointed it's gone up 11 places and is still selling well cheer up and embrace the positive, it just means we have to do all this again next week and maybe the streams will have increased, it is still no.2 on i-tunes after 3 weeks of no.1/no.2.

Top 20 for Padam is still fantastic. They just need to get remixes and those signed CD/7” to give the final push into the top 10
There are definitely CDs not counted yet in the total from yesterday. It would be the best surprise if it's a lot more than expected.

My post might seem as I’m disappointed and you’re right, #12-#15 peak for week three is superb. (Just hate the fact that sales wise it’s so close to Top 10, that’s all)
