June 7, 20232 yr As It Was is number 9 tonight - it is on course for it's 34th top 10 week which would be just 5 short of Mariah Carey's record.
June 7, 20232 yr Loreen actually climbing from yesterdays update! I presumed she'd be the one closest to Kylie! AHHH. It would be so good to get them both in the top 10 (well another week for Loreen ofc)
June 7, 20232 yr But radio 2 songs fon't do well in the charts. Only BBC and Capital songs do well and affect playlisting on streaming. Radio 2 is a BBC station. You previously said that it was getting no radio support. The fact has been established that it is, the airplay chart ranks by audience, meaning that last week Padam Padam received the second biggest number of radio impressions across the UK – quite frankly this probably is having an impact on its iTunes position, and potentially streaming too. Don't complain about not having radio support then try and undermine radio's possible impact when you realise it does have...
June 7, 20232 yr Oh my :D 1. Kylie has excellent radio support, they're pretty much fully on board and I won't be surprised if it reaches 1 on airplay this week! 2. Streaming support is ok and could be better, she's doing well, but not outstandingly well considering. 3. I'll be happy if more artists release the CDs, as I find it really cool. But releasing the CD that would cost 7 quid with postage is not the same as releasing a CD for 99p also with postage! The latter they are clearly doing at a loss, it is called dumping and for sure is a sketchy tactic. There's a reason albums that cost less than 3 quid don't go in the main album chart.

June 7, 20232 yr Jesus! The drop off in sales after the top 2, Capaldi and Sheeran won’t be crossing anywhere near a million this time.
June 7, 20232 yr Just to confirm the 2 Dave / Central Cee tracks were 30 - Trojan Horse ( 8,322 ) 40 - UK Rap ( 7,138 )
June 7, 20232 yr Louise is doing well to hang in there in the top 10. I noticed it was sold out in Asda, I was surprised they’d even stocked it tbh!

June 7, 20232 yr Come on Jazzy. Stop React from going top 3 and looks like Dave Cee have #1 in the bag even if they don’t sell anything today and tomorrow
June 7, 20232 yr Looks like Sophie will likely be pushed out of the top 5 albums, becoming the latest casualty to This is: The Weeknd. Joy.

June 7, 20232 yr I know people on here aren’t fans of the song (I surprisingly like it) but it’s fantastic to see some really healthy sales at the top of the singles chart!
June 7, 20232 yr Still too close to call between the Foos and Noel, I am kind of rooting for Noel to get back there just because it'd be a shame for him to lose his #1 streak between Oasis and NGHFB but I guess if he does it was a case of it being easily preventable much like Arctic Monkeys, even with their sales being down from previous albums they're still more than high enough that they could have guaranteed a #1 by only a small change of release date (e.g. would have been #1 by miles last week). Hoping Sprinter can do 100k first week, it'll be close but it should be in with a shot. It's added 31.4k in 2 days and still has (more or less) 3 days left to be added due to the streaming delay, in which it only needs to add a further 34.7k - think it should be comfortably over 100k, especially as its numbers are still holding up really well on Spotify! I think 'Trojan Horse' looks on course for top 10 as well unless it gets really screwed over by questionable Thursday stream estimations - 8.3k from effectively 1 day of streams, it's also been holding up pretty well so far so guessing it has a fair chance of doing 20k just from Monday to Wednesday streams which would already almost be enough for top 10 last week. Depending on how the mystery algorithm pans out for it I don't think a top 5 debut is out of the question. 'UK Rap' maybe has a chance of sneaking top 10 as well but less confident about that, probably at least top 15 though?
June 7, 20232 yr Nobody is saying artists shouldn’t release a CD single. Absolutely nobody, most of us in fact love to have the chance to own a physical copy. There is a big difference between a £3.99 (£7 with shipping, which IMO is too much) CD for die hard fans and a 99p signed single giveaway! BMG is not losing any money on their strategy, they’re not throwing away profit for a chart position. Kylie has an extended mix and a CD single, it’s not like she has 20 remixes and 6 physical formats inflating her sales. Just stop it, it’s trolling at this point. And I’m just going to say it, it’s incredibly sexist! Yeah because you really care if the record label are making money or not  Ed and Lewis make a heck of a lot more money for their labels than Kylie does. Honestly you don't need to be ridiculous you can just say yes I am biased.

June 7, 20232 yr I assume Kylie has no chance of top 10 this week then with those Dave tracks blasting up the chart (Dua will likely overtake as well)? :( I'm hoping it'll get moved up on Hot Hits UK though as it'll get a new peak in the chart (it'll likely be top 15). It moved from 36-38-40 on the playlist though so not holding my breath. Even if they moved it up into the 20-25 region that would make a noticeable difference!
