Delighted to see Murder on the Dancefloor get a resurgence in popularity. It's aged so well and is definitely one of the best pop songs of the 00s
Surprised there’s as many as 6 Xmas songs still top 100, hope they can remain!

I think the Christmas songs will still drop out by the end of the week, their streams are still going to be dropping a lot each day for the remainder of the week presumably - it doesn't appear we got an update for this week last year to compare.

'Mr. Brightside' coming for that 7th week in the top 40 maybe :cheeseblock: (also 'Baby Shark' at #41 *.* definitely does seem to be back on SCR for some reason lol)

Looks like there aren't going to be quite as many interesting low top 100 debuts as in the equivalent week last year - nice to see Travis Scott looking to possibly get a 7th top 100 off his album though (only one of which was released before the album), 'MY EYES' is another one of the highlights from it! I did notice that now taking over as his highest / only remaining charting song on Spotify the other day, though still only the 3rd highest in the US interestingly, a way behind 'I KNOW ?' and 'FE!N'.

Rolling Stones down to #50 is a rather shocking fall after never leaving the Top 10 since release

They were holding up by continuing strong physical sales which always evaporate after Christmas! (Having said that they were down at #15 in the mids last week but still clawed back to #6 in the end, so not sure if they might climb again by Friday this week).

So pleased that Noah is finally going to get the #1 single - hopefully his album will get A new peak and be a future #1 with the UK exclusive vinyl and the updated ‘We’ll All Be Here Forever’ streaming version.

The 'We'll All Be Here Forever' version isn't new, it was the release of that which got the album to chart in the first place. (Unless I am misunderstanding what you're saying?)

Getting Zara back in the Top Ten would be a PHENOMENAL start to my year.

Better get to streaming it on loop then !!!

Does Houdini have a chance of getting to no1? I presume it'll be hard with Noah's song gaining more streams, etc.?

Zero, it’s #31 on Spotify so I’d expect it to drop

Regarding Christmas songs: back in 2019/20, ‘Last Christmas’ was at the same position in the Chart Update as this, but didn’t hold on until the end of the week. Ellie Goulding ‘River’ did - that was added to other Amazon playlists as well as the Christmas playlist.

That said, I’m clueless as to whether this update is up-to-date, or only covers up to Sunday. If it’s up-to-date, then we might be closer to the end of the week then the update in Jan 2020 so the Christmas songs might hold on.

I gave up trying to work out whether any of the songs have had a reset yet! At least Friday’s chat will be more exciting as we won’t have a clue where anything is going to be. (Other than the top 3)

Would love to see the weeknd snatch the number 1 album this week seeing g as the highlights despite been consistently doing well has never hit the spot so far.
Yeah the Christmas songs will drop out whatever happened to that AC/DC campaign? Did it even make top 100 for the first three days?
You never know!! With moee older peoplw streaming every ywar, the chrooners will get played until the 6th! We might see more of rhem hangin around the bottom 100.

I don't think anything that is going to be reset this week has had a reset in this update. I think the top 3 should hold at least, although 'Prada' could challenge 'greedy'. The songs currently in the top 50 which I think are still on ACR but could be reset by Friday are:

#6 Prada

#12 Cruel Summer

#16 Water

#27 Murder On The Dancefloor *

#28 Is It Over Now

#36 Baddadan

#39 Asking

#47 My Love Mine All Mine

* due to it not having been in the Top 100 in the previous 3 years and having a presumed 25% increase - all other songs listed went to ACR after 1 December

aah ok. Thanks! It's also kind of tanked in the usa also

I hope Murder on the Dancefloors resurgence will bring an OCC article with updated SEB singles

They don't make updates on Bank Holidays so today's is definitely the Tuesday update (although will be missing Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube for Monday as usual).

There's never been any sign of it overtaking Jack Harlow let alone Noah who's now comfortably ahead of both!
