Thanks to the 43 people who participated in last week's poll :jump:

[ 26 ] Ariana Grande - yes, and? (#2)

[ 20 ] Ella Henderson - Alibi (feat. Rudimental) (#46)

[ 16 ] 21 Savage - redrum (#11)

[ 11 ] Marshmello and venbee - No Man's Land (#61)

[ 8 ] 21 Savage, Travis Scott and Metro Boomin - née-nah (#23)

[ 7 ] 21 Savage and Doja Cat - n.h.i.e. (#27)

[ 7 ] Lil Nas X - J CHRIST (#59)

[ 6 ] Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start (#73)

[ 5 ] YG Marley - Praise Jah In The Moonlight (#63)

[ 4 ] D-Block Europe and Noizy - Eagle (#19)

BuzzJack's favourite top 100 hit for 2024 week 3 and auto-qualifying for the January monthly round is Ariana Grande - yes, and?.

To the surprise of no one American superstar Ariana Grande's comeback single after an unusually long absence (this being her first appearance in one of these polls) 'yes, and?', from her forthcoming 7th studio album 'eternal sunshine', gets a reasonably comfortable win here and has the first song of the year to get the support of more than half of voters, 60% on this occasion. Makes up a bit for it narrowly falling short of debuting as her 7th UK #1 hit. A second song also reached the 20 vote mark as Ella Henderson and Rudimental's Stevie Wonder/Coolio flip lands 6 votes behind in second place, while it's a pretty good showing for a non-poppy hip-hop track as 21 Savage finishes 3rd another 4 votes behind and comfortably reaching double figures. His other two entries of the week didn't do quite as well but both still got a couple votes clear of the 5 vote threshold. Marshmello and venbee's collab is the last song of the week to hit double figures, another 5 votes back in 4th place. Only the one song that didn't reach 5 votes this week and unsurprisingly it's D-Block Europe again, this time aided by Albanian rapper Noizy, matching the 4 votes they got with their song in the previous poll (I think this one deserved to do a little better than that but not complaining at DBE floppage). Everything at least beat 'none of the above' this time with only 1 person opting for that.

Weekly winners for 2024:

01 // 11/01/24 // The Cast Of Wonka - You've Never Had Chocolate Like This

02 // 18/01/24 // The Last Dinner Party - Nothing Matters

03 // 25/01/24 // Ariana Grande - yes, and?

Weekly winners for previous years: 2023

A quieter week of new entries again although all the big brand new releases of the week went straight to the top 40, with the last two newies both being songs that had been around for a while but not making much noise until finally scraping in this week. 7 new entries in all although 8 tracks on the week's playlist (totalling 24 minutes and 21 seconds) as the original of 'Homesick' did make the Spotify chart in its own right so I've included it here alongside the more popular Sam Fender duet version. As ever feel free to vote based on either version. Last week's poll was the first one of the year where I actually voted for the winner, let's try and keep that up (or at least please don't let that Kygo shite win, I'm worried).

Vote for as many or as few songs as you want and would be ideal if you can make sure you've heard all the songs before voting if possible!

I'm a day late posting this again but maybe third time lucky to get the next one up on time :magic: so leaving this open until at least Sunday evening again x

2023 final going up shortly (and will be open for 2 weeks), just need to quickly tot up the playoff votes.

Just voting for 'Not My Fault' this week. One of my favourites of the year so far.

'Never Be Alone' feels like one of the least generic Becky songs for a while. Although the beat does sound very ‘On My Love’ at times. 'Beautiful Things' doesn’t go as hard as it could have. It's more interesting than his other hit which I don't remember much about. Both the artists on 'Homesick' sound pretty homogeneous. It's a pretty boring song.

'Whatever' must be produced by AI surely. That’s the most Kygo-y Kygo beat ever thought up and Ava sampling Shakira feels too obvious. Did 'Thank You (Not So Bad)' really need so many producers to create it? The best part is when it’s just Dido singing and it's literally just the original song.

'Skin And Bones' really isn't good. His voice fit well on ‘Daylight’ but just sounds dodgy everywhere else. It has a terrible chorus and just feels like a bit of a joke.

If that painful Shakira cover wins this just because some forum users love Ava Max I'll despair!

Or if it qualifies.
Just Noah/Sam and Benson this week. A lot of ‘meh’ songs this week. The Thank You dance version was awful. Dido deserves better.

Noah Kahan - Homesick (w/ Sam Fender / solo) (#5) - actually a very strong track, that's 2 noah songs i like now! (i'll leave the fender version to one side tho)

Benson Boone - Beautiful Things (#18) - this is VERY adam lambert, it's a good song but he's not a good singer in the higher octaves

Becky Hill and Sonny Fodera - Never Be Alone (#34) - quintessential soaring becky hill vocal coupled with fodera's signature pulsating beat, what's not to like

David Kushner - Skin And Bones (#36) - he's very much a one trick pony, and the trick isn't very good

Kygo and Ava Max - Whatever (#39) - it's a real shame someone as talented as kygo has to resort to cringey samples to score hits nowadays...

Reneé Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion - Not My Fault (#96) - nothing interesting here, sounds like a doja cat reject which is saying something

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto, Dido and W&W - Thank You (Not So Bad) (#97) - one of the most random appearances ever? these guys have put out banger after banger in the past and this is the one that ends their top 100 drought?

Just Noah & Becky.

Just voted for Noah / Sam, but considered adding Benson and Becky as those tracks are reasonably inspired at least (unlike some others here).
Voting Becky/Sonny and Noah/Sam here, but the latter is far and away the better of the two tracks!
From what I've heard so far.. thinking Noah/Sam will likely grow but the 2 I voted are Renee and Megan and Benson Boone (didn't expect that from him being completely honest and I liked 'In The Stars' also).
