To be fair, Spice Girls was merely used as an example. Compare it with any ten a penny anniversary re-issue these days and tell me which others offer better value for what you're getting than this?

As for "reflected in the sales", the other week you said the project would be deemed a failure if it didn't go top 10 and hang around beyond week one, which to be fair is quite a lofty expectation for a 20-year-old Girls Aloud album in 2024's climate

yes totally impossible for a re-issue to spend 2 weeks in the charts in 2024

it's already very very difficult for regular studio albums unless you have streams

Yeh the only 2024 artist albums hanging around this year so far have been Kanye and Ariana will too with two singles on it doing well plus a few others on there! Noah as well although it’s a 2023 one!

Also Jools Holland/Rod Stewart, Last Dinner Party, 21 Savage

but for. re-issue, impossible

Can either Ari or Djo realistically catch Bey for 7k in two days? I like THE but either of the other two for a new number one! Djo is so unexpected I'd actually like him to get it, then for Ari to get it next week.

I think it’ll be a close top 4.

I’m going for

1 Beyoncé

2 Benson Boone

3 Djo

4 Ariana

It’s defo Beyoncé’s tomorrow then Djo vs Ariana next week

Although looking at Apple Ariana and Djo are only at #5 and #6 currently so who knows

I disagree 2 songs isn't alot of content for £20. Alot of Girls Aloud fans agree with me here and it reflects on the sales.

But there’s about 45 songs on it, including 3 new ones? I’m curious who the other fans who supposedly agree with you are? I haven’t seen any negativity about it other than from you.

Don’t think it’s out of the question that Beyoncé could be #1 next week as well, considering iTunes, Apple, and Amazon. It’s only Spotify letting her down somewhat really. If she could somehow start regaining a little traction on Spotify, anything could happen.

But yes, it’s certainly looking good for Ariana next week as it stands.

Ari has a second version on the rise on Apple as well so she's currently #5 + #137, I wish we could see what that would be combined

Hoping she doesn't stall at #2 again but either way it's good to have an exciting chart battle

I love Girls Aloud but I knew it would be a flop
