March 11, 20242 yr Not based on Dua's latest singles' streaming numbers  STOP trolling. She's 8th most listened to artist in the world right now. @1767193675288006690
March 11, 20242 yr btw if anyone criticises the numbers for The Weeknd's next era (like what's happened to poor Ari & Dua) then there will be VERY serious consequences x :kink:
March 11, 20242 yr btw if anyone criticises the numbers for The Weeknd's next era (like what's happened to poor Ari & Dua) then there will be VERY serious consequences x :kink: And Beyoncé!
March 11, 20242 yr And if you take the vinyl out, it's probably on par with Positions at worst (bearing in mind there's 9,292 physicals, stab in the dark but I assume no more than half would be vinyl?), if not a little bit higher still. Not bad for an almost 3.5 year absence when the market's in decline and many here seemed to think any hype around Ariana had gone...! Do you mean the market is in decline since Ariana’s last album? The current album market is on average 11-12% increasing year on year as streaming continues to halt the decline over the past decade!
March 11, 20242 yr I fear Taylor Swift is going to face the flop accusations too when her album inevitably isn’t quite as humongous as Midnights was no one is safe from Buzzjack
March 11, 20242 yr Ariana has no chance of #1 this week I guess it’s possible in the US if it can keep up with carnival in the next few days

March 11, 20242 yr Billie Eilish already back in the top 40 in the mids, will be interesting to see both her and Ryan Gosling have done on streaming today

March 11, 20242 yr Grace Petrie midweek no.17. Love her - def need more socialist, butch lesbian protest folk. Great live too!
March 11, 20242 yr Just had a trawl through the archives and positions was at 16.3k on the Tuesday update so eternal sunshine is already outpacing that day as well
March 11, 20242 yr Billie Eilish already back in the top 40 in the mids, will be interesting to see both her and Ryan Gosling have done on streaming today She’s back due to a vinyl. The award show impact wouldn’t have affected or been shown in todays update!

I think 18k is quite low for for an artist of Ariana’s level, but I suppose she’s never been a great album seller. Her biggest album isn’t even 2x platinum
March 11, 20242 yr Just by the by since we're insisting on comparing Ariana with Beyoncé lately, the Monday midweek figure for 'RENAISSANCE' was 13.2k, I don't suppose you also consider that underwhelming for an artist of Beyoncé's level x

I think Ariana has 4 and at half the price I’m not insisting on comparing Ariana with Beyoncé, it’s other people that seem to be desperate to point out Beyoncé’s “collapse” but they’re the same people that staunchly defend Ariana and Dua against the same allegations, when their leads actually did much worse than Beyoncé’s. I just find it odd

March 12, 20242 yr Oh fgs enough with this Beyonce collapse stuff. I think the song is a load of crap but it's been very successful, pulled in some strong numbers while spending three weeks at #1 and has now peaked and is going into a natural decline. It might yet scrape a fourth week at the top with a slimmer advantage on its nearest competitor. Â In years gone by this would have been the most standard story possible, it's only because we are so used to the streaming era that everything that does certain numbers is expected to stick around at the top for eons. March 12, 20242 yr Can all songs not be pulled from tik tok once they reach no1? Might be a way of stopping songs hanging around forever and helping have a quicker moving chart lol

I just find it odd Beyonce fans really living up to their reputation as the most unbearable fan base! Nobody has even suggested that Beyoncé is doing badly, she has done amazing, several weeks at number one. The collapse in streaming numbers is a fact, just get over it
