Oh fgs enough with this Beyonce collapse stuff. I think the song is a load of crap but it's been very successful, pulled in some strong numbers while spending three weeks at #1 and has now peaked and is going into a natural decline. It might yet scrape a fourth week at the top with a slimmer advantage on its nearest competitor.

In years gone by this would have been the most standard story possible, it's only because we are so used to the streaming era that everything that does certain numbers is expected to stick around at the top for eons.

One of her worst sangs yet!!!

These back and forth’s between fans are really getting childish, seriously, are we like at third grade or something!!!

Nothing is being celebrated any longer…hell even the song that spends 3 weeks at #1 is a flop nowadays!!!

In other news, come through Ariana!!!

I just love and live for organic hits…I have a feeling her new single will be ‘Flowers’ of this year…it just keeps gaining momentum since it was released!!!

I am still SHOOK a Robyn style song is doing THAT!!! :cheeseblock: Wondee if she can get it plus ES to #1 and have 2 #1s from the era still??

Spring Steve was reet tbh - it doesn't matter if a song is commercial or not, as lo g as it goes viral. Look at that Beyonce sang!!!

Just a note to say if we can't be civil to each other without accusations (overt or subtle) being thrown about because of which artist someone supports or a pattern they've noticed in a song's performance, I'll be locking the thread for the week and I'll just post the mids in here without further comments or requests. I'm off work sick and I don't really want to have to be dealing with ridiculous posts in here.

Thanks to most of you who are actually using this thread for its purpose!

She had an unforseen decline in streaming numbers because the song was taken off TikTok.
oh so we can agree that this is all UMG’s fault 💅

The staleness of streaming era charts has distorted people’s idea of what counts as longevity for a hit sadly.

Trying to unironically call Houdini a flop because it “only spent one week in the top 5”. Oh dear.

She had an unforseen decline in streaming numbers because the song was taken off TikTok. There's nothing wrong with people pointing this out and it doesn't take away from Beyoncé's great achievement of topping the UK chart.

Instead you guys have misinterpreted this as if it's a vicious attack on Beyoncé's success and have been insufferable going on and on about it for days. There's no need to bring down other female artists, make personal attacks on members, or pull the race card (if that's what Black N Blue's vague post is alluding to). This unnecessary behaviour is what Beyoncé's fan base is known for - it's been well documented in many news articles how they go to great lengths to harass anyone who has something negative to say about Beyoncé. Remember when they threw CDs at Keri Hilson when she was walking on the street!

I think there's a difference between "pointing out" the song had declined slightly to purposefully making digs to bait users, as that poster has just straight up said they were doing. I haven't posted on this forum properly in years, so I'm unsure if I'm supposedly 'insufferable' enough to have made that much of an impact, but there you go.

The rest of this post is just a prime example of victimhood as if members of all fan bases haven't acted identically. It's not exclusive to Beyoncé fans and you know that full well. Lastly, a loon allegedly throwing a CD at Keri Hilson nearly two decades ago (if that story is even true anyway) is so random for you to still be hung up on. Are we seriously blaming an entire fan base for the alleged behaviour of a single person?

Anyway, this is all incredibly childish and not the purpose of this thread. Let's move on.

I don't think I'd have even noticed this "collapse" that anyone is discussing if it hadn't been brought up, it's literally... still #1, such dramatic language
Given her stable streaming, I assume Ariana's album is looking at 35-40k come Friday? A really nice improvement from the opening of Positions which did 27,472 first week. Fingers crossed she'll manage to do 40k!

IIRC it was originally pointed out in the context of the US where it's more noticeable because it wasn't comfortably #1 there (indeed has fallen 1-5 on the Hot 100 this week).

insert disclaimer once again that I am not saying it is doing badly xx

Is number 10 good or underwhelming for Girls Aloud?

Sound of the Underground's re-issue was midweek #9 at the same point so probably underwhelming when we think of that missing the top 40 by Friday :(

Banananrama should be safe for top 30, Girls Aloud Top 40 but not sure if Kylie can hang on in the top 40.

Am actually surprised BL is anyway near the top40 given it only being released in one format and the fact it isn't exactly a fan favourite. It was never going to reach the heights of the IP reissue.

Pleased CharliXCX is down to #38 and will hopefully be booted out by Friday - usually a huge fan of her music but the new song is awful .
