March 11, 20242 yr Again, are you serious ? Have you seen the sales and numbers of her last album ? Are we talking about the same thing ? 6.000.000 copies sold in the USA 300.000 in France 320.000 in Canada 100.000 in Germany 75.000 in New Zealand .... And last album wasn't a success ?  You're giving sales for an album that was literally given away on Tidal!!!!
March 11, 20242 yr Can we stop the Rihanna talk please, unless it's about Good Girl Gone Bad's #74 placement in the album mids, thanks x
March 11, 20242 yr positions was at 13.5k on its first day so a higher start for eternal sunshine ^_^ Glad it’s outpacing ‘Positions’ (and in a declining market too), it’s such a brilliant album.
March 11, 20242 yr Well I doubt that since midweek is where Benson usually gets his biggest streams and the opposite is true for Beyonce but I’m thinking he’ll get within 1500 sales probably not enough Even when Benson has been peaking he still seems to be behind Beyoncé's daily numbers though! (The gap increased to 9.7k in the Wednesday midweeks last week and ofc to 12.4k in the final chart). I think it helps that Beyoncé is still pulling in surprisingly healthy downloads.
March 11, 20242 yr I wonder if Ariana can challenge for #1 by the end of the week if the song keeps gaining momentum the way it has been? I wouldn't be surprised if it challenges for #1 on spotify in tomorrow's update.

March 11, 20242 yr Have seen that Ariana does now seem to be in the running for another #1 debut in the US (Talk of the Charts upgraded their prediction from #5 to #3 and within 4% of the chart points of #1 - cue the extra versions dropped in the next couple of days etc. (she did just release a new edition of the album with a few alternate versions of some of the songs but oddly not including 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)'). I think it's probably too late for her to contend for this week's #1 in the UK but next week definitely looks possible.

She's doing big youtube numbers in the US which is putting her streaming on par or even slightly ahead of "Carnival" which is really interesting. I'm interested to see if the SNL performance of the song boosts her youtube views in the UK further. Would love the song to get to #1 at some point.
March 11, 20242 yr The hell is this?! It was originally a solo song by 4batz, it's been viral on TikTok and charting in the US for a couple of months now (has also been in and out of the lower half of the top 200 on UK Spotify but not made the overall top 100 yet). He just signed a deal to release an EP on Drake's OVO Sound label and the occasion has been marked by a remix featuring Drake, which I see they've been diligent enough to get credited on the OCC website (the original was an independent release but I am assuming it is being combined as it looks way too high for that to be only the remix contributing - I see the label is listed as '4batz / OVO Sound' on Spotify). Alternative answer: it's a mediocre R&B song that sounds like a sped up version of Brent Faiyaz. I've not heard the remix but from what I've read it's basically just the original song with a Drake song pasted onto the end of it.
March 11, 20242 yr I understand it's a challenging market and all, but that number seems low for someone as hyped as Ariana.
March 11, 20242 yr I understand it's a challenging market and all, but that number seems low for someone as hyped as Ariana. It's 33% higher than her last album at this stage...!
March 11, 20242 yr It's 33% higher than her last album at this stage...! Which had no vinyls, for full context
March 11, 20242 yr I understand it's a challenging market and all, but that number seems low for someone as hyped as Ariana. How dare any other female artist besides Kylie have hype. Ariana and Dua's albums have longevity because they're streaming goddesses.
March 11, 20242 yr Which had no vinyls, for full context And if you take the vinyl out, it's probably on par with Positions at worst (bearing in mind there's 9,292 physicals, stab in the dark but I assume no more than half would be vinyl?), if not a little bit higher still. Not bad for an almost 3.5 year absence when the market's in decline and many here seemed to think any hype around Ariana had gone...!
March 11, 20242 yr What is the Amazon music top 5 for those with Prime? That could make all the difference this week. You don't need Prime to see the chart. https://music.amazon.co.uk/popular/songs
March 11, 20242 yr How dare any other female artist besides Kylie have hype. Ariana and Dua's albums have longevity because they're streaming goddesses. Not based on Dua's latest singles' streaming numbers
March 11, 20242 yr With Bananarama currently number 6 it should be enough to see them safely stay top 40. If it does it will give them only their 6th top 40 album overall, im always shocked they havnt more especially when you look at all their albums that missed the Top40.
March 11, 20242 yr You don't need Prime to see the chart. https://music.amazon.co.uk/popular/songs IIRC that link displays a slightly different chart if you aren't logged into a Prime account for some reason. (unless that's been fixed now idk, the Amazon charts are too janky for me to bother trying to keep up with them)
March 11, 20242 yr You don't need Prime to see the chart. https://music.amazon.co.uk/popular/songs I think the chart displays differently if you have Prime, though, which is confusing! Prime top 5: 1. Beyoncé [also #19] 2. Noah [also #31, #82, #87] 3. Benson [also #55] 4. Calvin 5. Djo
