Sam obviously was popular and Mae had a good song, but performed badly - however was riding the EV popularity last year. Neither of James Newman's made it, neither did SuRie either, nor Lucie Jones, Joe and Jake, Electro Velvet.... Saying that Olly is an established artist, so I guess you'd expect him to do better than unknowns with poor songs Bonnie Tyler; Engelbert Humperdinck didn’t make the top 40 either - in fact until the past couple of competitions, very few UK Eurovision songs have reached the top 40 since Scooch reached number 5 in 2007.
