July 1, 20241 yr "Radical" cannot hold against Taylor considering it has only 1.6k in streams so far but the return to top 3 would be brilliant.
July 1, 20241 yr Yeah I expected much bigger sales. Seems another #1 for Taylor even if her streams are easing off considerably
July 1, 20241 yr I thought Camila Cabello would be lucky to be top 40 today so surprised to see her in the top 10 although id say it will fall a fair bit by Friday although the overall low sales may help give her a better peak. Would love to see Imagine Dragons or Dual Lipa take the number 1 but with Taylor having a much bigger streaming advantage i think she may take it.
July 1, 20241 yr Camila just had a hmv signing tonight that I attended, and she’s got some bundles of cds and vinyls. Hoping it holds top 20 at least!
July 1, 20241 yr Without a physical injection are we going to be under 10k for the #1 album this week?
July 2, 20241 yr oh and camilla at #7 :o was expecting it to chart at #59 or something :oI thought Camila Cabello would be lucky to be top 40 today so surprised to see her in the top 10 although id say it will fall a fair bit by Friday although the overall low sales may help give her a better peak. Really? I know that her recent singles didn't set the chart alight, but I don't think anything particularly suggested that her fanbase would almost entirely abandon her this time around. It could well be a case of diminishing returns, if it ends up somewhere in the Top 20 by Friday (although we'll see how it reacts to the HMV signing). I just don't think it was ever likely to tank as hard as you both assumed it would? I mention this with no shade intended because I really like Jennifer Lopez, but even her album was midweek #19/eventual #55 - this being 10 years after her previous album also missed the Top 40. The chances of Camila performing like that surely wasn't likely, when by comparison it's only been 2 years since her last album, a Top 10 success.
July 2, 20241 yr not Taylor Swift getting another week at #1 when there are so many far superior pop albums below her 🙄 permanent stain on the charts (since the 1989 rework at least)
July 2, 20241 yr I thought Camila was gonna underperform cos she went from having #1 singles and duets with Ed Sheeran to not troubling the charts at all, and thought she'd fallen from grace with the GP but thinking about it, if Jess Glynne can have a #6 album despite everything... sure anybody can, and sure Camila too. Good to see she's promoting in the UK and making an effort.
July 2, 20241 yr Reckon it’ll be: #1 Taylor #2 Billie #3 Dua #4 Imagine Dragons #5 Coldplay re entry maybe?
July 2, 20241 yr Madness no 26 midweek album after Enhanced Edition released. Will end really low down. Interesting to see its total sales to date if that can shared on Friday. Despite being their only No 1 studio album, it ranks as one of their longest to hit Silver sales and may well never do so. Very much a sign of the times sadly as I always have valued the physical product yet am as guilty as anyone to settle for streaming.
July 2, 20241 yr Chappells streams for glb are really good, and she has 7” vinyls for it out this week! Hopefully it can sneak top 3 this week!

Last I have it as 30K based on 5 weeks in the top 100, but no clue if they stayed top 200 afterwards but 30K and 5 weeks is pretty good when similar artists are out of the top 100 in week 2
July 3, 20241 yr There have been no UK artists number 1 yet this year. What has been the longest gap before now where there hasn’t been a UK number 1 single? Edited July 3, 20241 yr by Zeebre12
