Why would Hamas be doing that, he’s a strong supporter of Israel.

Think this proves that Covid really was the big factor in him losing the 2020 election, without that he probably serves 2 consecutive terms and now the USA would have been able to move on.

The wordt thing will be geopolitics. Israel given a blank cheque, Russia takes Ukrainian territory officially, and could attack the Baltics, and then we have Taiwan and China...

 

I don’t think it’s as simple as that in regards to Ukraine. Trump will push for a negotiated settlement which may mean some territory (more) losses. But NB. it is not clear how much Putin would want a deal. If Russia keeps fighting, Trump may not want Ukraine to be seen to "lose" on his watch. He also seems less fearful of escalation than Biden. Some analysts do not rule out an increase in US support for Ukraine going against traditional views he will pull support. He may also do both of course.

Won every single swing state. Kamala needed to win independents in Nevada by 6 points she lost them completely. Latino voters really strongly went for Trump as did Arab voters. Kamala ran a horrific campaign boasting about the Cheney’s endorsement and not offering anything positive. For the first time ever Republicans had a ground game and the difference was 1-2% extra in almost every stronghold which adds up overall. Looks like he’s going to win the popular vote which is quite something I never thought a Republican would ever win the popular vote again.

What a great result. Even the popular vote too.

 

The vet I just saw says it's because they think they'll be richer and have lower food prices under Trump yet may be in for a shock.

if history teaches us anything it's that you can never ever overestimate the gullibility and bitterness of people, and willingness to believe blatant lies if they think (wrongly) that they will benefit from it. Just back from Florida and there were adverts on TV with 20 second soundbites just saying stuff that is a lie, and that's how people consume politics along with misinformation on social media from billionaires and anti-democratic forces in the world.

 

I won't be going back to the USA for the forseeable future if the voting population cant differentiate between facts and the actions of a con-man convicted criminal. If he carries out his threats, the US economy will be going tits up but it won't matter because there won't be fair elections in the future - and ironically it has now been proven 100% that elections have all been fair and democratic - by voting in a lying conman despite his attempting to end democracy last time round and making baseless claims that elections were fixed. Anyone with any ounce of awareness who voted Trump should reflect that he lied about that (as well as everything else).

 

First act as President: Pardoning Donald Trump for all his crimes, and the freedom to do whatever he likes as President thanks to the Right-wing judges he appointed. I have zero sympathy for anyone supporting Trump who finds things arent quite what they envisioned into the future...
