Glad to see The Door climbing into the Top 5. Heard it for the first time at the weekend and it sounded like a smash to me. Would love to see it go to the top but maybe it might need to wait until January now?

If any of Teddy's hit number one it'll probably be Bad Dreams as it's on his new album out in January

Don't get the Sun mids fool you that Teddy Swims is doing amazingly, he's so high cos half the chart is on ACR plus Sun mids are biased towards Amazon. he's lucky Alexa forces him down people's throats on Amazon without them asking. But he's doing pitiful numbers on Spotify, barely 150K per day. If he'd be #1 it would be with just 20k sales.

“Michael Ball and Alfie Boe ahead for fourth Number 1 album as a duo

They're together again! Ball and Boe are taking charge for another Number 1 album together

By George Griffiths | 11 November 2024

Together again, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe take the lead for their fourth collaborative Number 1 album today, with Together At Home set to top the Official Albums Chart.

The latest collection of love songs from Ball and Boe, it could become the duo’s fourth Number 1 album together, following Together (2016), Together Again (2017), and festive collection Together at Christmas (2020). Michael Ball has also earned two Number 1 records as a soloist; Michael Ball (1992) and Coming Home To You (2019).

Not too far behind at Number 2 midweek are Lancaster rockers Massive Wagons. Earth To Grace is set to become the band’s first Top 3 charting album ever, and their third to place inside the Top 10.

Primal Scream are on track for their first Top 10 album in 16 years with 12th studio LP Come Ahead (5). It’s the Scottish rock outfit’s first album of new material in eight years, and their prospective eighth Top 10 album.

Fellow Scottish export Nathan Evans could also see his second album 1994 enter the UK Top 10 this week (8). It would be his first to enter the Official Albums Chart.

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of their debut album, JLS could see their self-titled record re-enter the Top 40 thanks to an anniversary reissue (12). JLS originally topped the Official Albums Chart in 2009 and contained two UK Number 1 singles; Beat Again and Everybody In Love.

A trio of up-and-coming UK acts, Fimiguerrero, Len & Lancey Foux, have teamed up for the collaborative album CONGLOMERATE (25) which could become all three acts’ first charting record in the UK.

Further down, The Charlatans’ third album Up To Our Hips could re-enter the Top 40 in celebration of its 30th anniversary (32) and The Orb’s Orboretum: The Orb Collection is looking to gift the electronic group their ninth Top 40 album (36).”

Christmas songs on tonight's midweek update

37 - Mariah Carey

42 - Wham!

79 - Brenda Lee

91 - Pogues / Kirsty MacColl

99 - Ariana Grande

Oh wow that's a great hold for the Cure, was assuming they would plummet so potentially staying top 5 would be a brilliant result
Ball & Boe will have to push cos 8k is not safe
This puts a bow on the year end singles top 5 right, with beautiful things overtaking espresso? I think its gotta end up Stick Season, Beautiful Things, Espresso, Lose Control, Too Sweet

Agree. “A Bar Song” being #6 is also a certainty, then quite close battles between Chappell / Billie for 7/8 and Sabrina / Dasha for 9/10.

Hot To Go down 3%. If it avoids this week, it makes it to december

Not sure if anything has gone straight to ACR after climbing for 3 weeks in a row before!

The Cure drop is very reasonable, much less than I expected! What is the reasoning for JLS being #12? A vinyl release or something?
