Just seen this post when reading back the thread, missed it earlier - I did think this when I saw your prediction :cry: :kink:

Some shocking results all around :o In typical me fashion, I fully expected a DNQ and am amazed to be through (in my defense this was my backup entry), so very excited for that! I'll still plan on being bottom 5 in the final though

 

I lost my 12 though, were there really only two others besides me that voted for Andrew WK?? Cannot believe that is bottom 2 :( Also pretty sad for FARC even though 'Last Laugh' was just shy of getting points from me.

 

Herbilore's entry I'm less surprised about, sadly, but such a catchy song and an amazing discovery, thank you Herbs for sending it!

 

Overall Semi 1 was great with plenty of standouts, fingers crossed the Semi 2 qualifiers are similar quality. Thanks Chez for hosting, great job!

Done my belated second listen of semi 1 and edited in my rankings for the DNQs in my earlier post, mostly not a lot changed from my first impressions although I did enjoy FARC's song a fair bit more on second listen, I think I just needed to get used to the unexpected accent lol x

 

(Aeroche, Hushkanukia and Jupiterdonia are also growing on me)

OK so only lost Bronzil from my votes but there was some serious errors in the other semi with FARC, Spodic Empire, Herbilore & Rontvia all being kicked out!

 

This is definitely one of my most disappointing DNQs ever! Thought this one would be well safe :(
