Fortnight did pretty well so it wasn't a bad choice of lead and I don't think it's unrepresentative of the album either - and I definitely don't think loml or The Black Dog would've been any bigger at all.

(and re the format discussion, I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest Taylor did release extra formats when her #1 spot was under threat, and it's notable she didn't do this when someone like Gracie Abrams was releasing - as to how personal it was against each artist she blocked is another matter, but we're well past the point of those eyebrow-raising digital versions so I don't think she's intentionally "blocking" Sabrina or trying to snatch the #1 back at the last minute, she's not tried that sort of thing in months, this is just how the cards fell)

I'll note too in this discussion, in the US where Taylor focuses most of her attention, Gracie week was never in doubt, and she's not blocking Sabrina as I said before.

Her stans would buy the same thing for the 50th time if she she changed one digit of the RGB colour code of a coat she wears on a cover image and called it a vinyl variant.

Yup that's a couple of positions below the albums top 40 - think they copied a few too many rows into the article but no complaints!

Sabrina at #25 in the singles chart is a guess - #25 is absent and that usually happens to a song that was starred out the previous week, not sure what else it would be.

Are Mariah anc Wham! the same or is that a typo?

Copying error, my bad - fixed!

It must be Christmas as they gave us the top 48 albums tonight !!

Shame OCC took drastic action when Ed clogged up the singles chart for one week

What's this referring to? (regarding this week's mids)

Comparing with last week, it looks as though Gracie will end up with a lead, but by less than 1000.
Will be a very close call between Gracie and Wham

It’s referring to OCC doing something about Ed when he clogged up the singles chart for one week and they took drastic action but Christmas songs clogging up the chart every year and they do nothing

Yeah it’ll be close between wham and Gracie probably the Thursday estimates will decide it and from my experience it seems like the song that streamed higher earlier usually gets a favourable estimate but we shall see. Also Christmas number 1 looks like it’ll be under 60k for sure
Kelly slipping to #10 is stressful x

I know, if she stalls at 11 this year I can’t cope 🙈
