If every single was deleted as soon as it hit number 1, Dean's version of Let It Snow would be the number 1 song with the lowest peak on the real chart, given it doesn't reach a new peak this year. Went as far back as the 50s to find this out and I plan to publish my findings in that thread after this year's final chart ^_^

Oh Taylor you are doing the lord's work spacing out the physical sales to continue to block Sabrina.

Isn't sabrina one of the ones the conspiracy theorists believe taylor wasn't trying to stop

Be nice to see a new Xmas album get there! Sia released her Xmas masterpiece too late after her chart peak for it to chart well albeit 3 songs charted from it in the singles chart!

Not sure it works like that , didn't Kelly Clarkson release wrapped in red around her peak era too

Wrapped In Red was released in 2013. Breakaway was in 2005... so... no. No she did not. :D

There's already a thread on this concept, although I don't think it goes as far back:

She isn't trying to stop Sabrina getting to number 1.

Misread lol

She was. This kinda shows, she just likes charting high regardless of who is ahead. In the US, Taylor is blocking Kendrick, a man she went to visit in the studio while he was making the album. The whole Charli and Billie stuff earlier in the year, people acting like it was a personal slight. The only person Taylor has beef with enough to go out of her way to block them is Kanye

Funny that for all her chart manipulation she has spent far fewer weeks at UK singles#1 than almost everyone and even Gracie might end up with more weeks than #1 than her very shortly.

I remember somebody infamously claiming earlier in the year that she wouldn't have been top 10 with 'Espresso' if she hadn't supported Taylor on tour.

LOL, "chart manipulation", Still she has less variants than Billie, Charlie, and most of everyone out there, but hey she's the only one who can sell them so it's "chart manipulation",

Stay mad, another week of number 1. Thanks.

I mean, do you want to cast your mind back to that week Charli released her album and what happened there?

it's totally insane that last week she sold 400,000 copies of The Anthology in the US

of course it was all planned cos she wanted to block Kendrick Lamar on week 2 lol :D :D :D

all these cases when 2 acts release the same date, are always label shenannigans to milk fans

Hopefully the next album is better and there will be a song the general public will remember from it

Sometimes Taylor is crap at picking singles

Just look at the Lover era. She had Cruel Summer and instead she picked Me(h) as the lead and Cruel Summer wasn't even a single back then.

and with Poets is kinda the same. Fortnight is not at the level of Me(h) but shouldn't have been the lead, not even sure if it should be part of the short version of the album. She had so so so many better songs to push like The Black Dog or LOML...

Yeah I'd love it if Taylor's next album was just a 35 minute album of ten 'Cruel Summer'-esque pop bangers :D (obvs won't be but we can dream)
