I noticed it's been moved up from #38 to #34 on HHUK and from #26 to #25 on TTH. That's quite positive for the song and hopefully with it now charting well it'll move up playlists more. Also up to a new peak of #51 on Apple Music. Still can't find it on Amazon. :(

Only other newie (been out a couple of days but only entered now) is Morgan Wallen - Smile at #142.

Looks promising for a decent performance from Baby. Maybe even number one if his Spotify is good?

His last album opened with 4 songs in the top 40 on Spotify with the highest at #23, I think he might have actually done better on Apple but not sure without looking it up. Wish Apple was as easy to look up archives of as Spotify is. (The reception to this new album seems to be pretty lukewarm as expected anyway so I still don't expect much from it but the Thugger/Future collab could at least give us a new entry in the top 40 this week maybe).

Another song’s Spotify numbers I’m very suspicious of is Slow It Down.

 

Was very stable before completely tanking in December and is now back up to doing big numbers again

 

Just the opposite to what has happened to Beautiful Things, very stable even in christmas and when every hit of 2024 increased a lot the song just stayed more or less with the same streams and the day after it was the song that lost more streams by far from all the hits of 2024 (just the day Slow It Down came back to the spotify charts with good numbres out of nowhere)... Looking at the numbers, today for example, Beautiful Things is the only big hit from 2024 that is doing worse numbers than a week before. If it wasn't cause they are old songs i would say that Beautiful Things had autoplay and with the new year the autoplay went to Slow It Down.

There weren't any big chart hits from the original Moana either (although obviously a couple have racked up big sales over time). I am a little surprised there wasn't a more concentrated streaming surge for at least one song from the new film though.

 

I don't see the Mufasa song on Kworb, I assume it is/was 'I Always Wanted A Brother' since that's the one in the current official top 100?

 

Lil Baby/Young Thug/Future now up to #20 on Apple, next 2 highest songs at #40 and #53 and a few more have entered the top 200 since my last update.

Yeah Lil Baby was overperforming on Apple then, although similar result for 'Dum, Dumb, And Dumber' at least. Only 4 songs from him in the Spotify top 200 (with the Travis collab being his third highest there after 'Listen Up').

 

The Doechii song has been out for a while but it did just get a music video so looks like that's had a pretty strong effect, could be a breakout hit for her.

 

SZA's 'BMF' up to #27, looks like it should go top 40 this week.

 

Also just spotted a big rise to #76 for Avicii's 'Wake Me Up', impact of the new Netflix documentary about him I guess - could get a reset?

Tyla - "PUSH 2 START" is finally appearing on Amazon now, at #697. Hoping it'll start climbing more notably - I've noticed it's been added to a few more playlists on Amazon.

 

Up to a new peak of #48 on Apple Music as well, although down 4 to #36 on spotify. Should hopefully go top 30 this week in the charts. Really hoping it'll become a top 20 hit at least!

 

 

 

 

That 'Mufasa' song is going viral on Tik Tok atm... due to how they're pronouncing "brother" in the song I think.

Doechii one in production/chatty vocal style reminds me of Princess Superstar - Bad Babysitter lol!
