Stick Season climbing into the top 10, it's great to see new tracks breaking through ^_^

Genuinely though, hopefully we get some big new releases soon. The 2024 year-end top 10 felt the freshest it's been for years, would be a shame to see it go back the other way this year although it's far too early to tell!

If its never charted Hozier will be reset automatically surely? It's easily going to have a 25% increase! Ik some tracks also haven't been reset after a 25% increase but they probably were by small margins and only on Spotify... It hasn't charted at all and they will automatically reset anything over 3 years that hasn't charted in 3 years

Tyla - "PUSH 2 START"

Amazon: #163 *new peak*

Apple: #25 *new peak*

Spotify: #42 (peak #26).

Hoping we might see Tyla climb a bit on spotify tomorrow - the song usually falls over the weekend, partiuclarly Sunday.

Some new peaks on spotify:

#31. Imogen Heap -"Headlock"

#81. Chase Atlantic - "Swim" (released 2017, another viral hit?)

#91. The Marias - "No One Noticed" Top 100 :cheer:

#129. Rihanna - "Breaking Dishes"

#131. Bad Bunny -"DtMF" YES *_* Come on Bad Bunny :cheer:

#140. TV Girl - "Cigarettes Out The Window" (released 2016, another viral song?)

#142. Conan Gray - "The Cut That Always Bleeds" (release 2020, guess it's going viral)

Edit: Just noticed Imogen Heap getting a new peak and she's also charting on Apple Music now, entering at #197 :cheer:

The Chase Atlantic & TV Girl songs have been hanging around the low ends of the Spotify chart for ages, interesting to see them go slightly higher now.
Are there any upcoming big new releases, either confirmed or rumoured? The chart is in dire need of some phreshness!

At first I thought on the Spotify chart that Chase Atlantic was Twin Atlantic, the latter had 'Open oop yer heart and yer soul' in a strong Scottish accent! There was also New Atlantic an early 90s rave group that were 'sort of' sampled by Chase and Status and Moko on 'Count On Me'.

Bad Bunny might finally chart with "DtMF".

The Weeknd's album releases the 24th so expect a bunch of songs debuting high. FKA Twigs also releasing 24th but not sure she will do much (sadly). Central Lee also has an album out the 24th so he might have a new song do well. Might be quite the busy week with many album tracks from all 3 debuting across streaming services.

Lady Gaga's album is slated for Feb with possible collabs with The Weeknd and Chappell Roan. Sam Fender is releasing a new album in Feb as well.

The Bad Bunny UK hit is real *.* (inb4 it still only gets to like #65)

Wow at how quickly that Hozier cover of 'Do I Wanna Know?' is climbing - if it's really going properly viral it could end up outpeaking the original especially with how low the bar for the top 10 is right now...!

It's been observed that old songs (3 years +) which get an automatic reset to SCR only ever seem to be the ones which enter in the Top 50 as a result. In theory, there should be a lot more songs which do enough to enter at 51-100 after such a reset, but for some reason the trigger doesn't go for them.

(I had a theory that the OCC were using the combined tracks top 200, where there's no ACR or 3-track rule, as the sole basis for measuring 25% increases, so unless a song arrives in the top 100 of that - roughly equating to the Top 50 officially - it probably won't have done 25% more than the previous week's #200 as proof of the requisite increase by looking at those charts alone.)
