Yeah it'll be very tight between APT and Messy. Would prefer Messy if this is somehow either's only shot at the top.

Definitely looks like it's over for Gracie then if she's actually falling further behind! :cheer: Don't really mind who takes the #1 as both are great but I suppose it's more likely that 'Messy' will still have a shot in later weeks so 'APT.' to get it for the best chance that both will still get their turn there.

(Central Cee's album next week has a feature from Dave on it though so if that's being properly pushed as a single it could be a #1 debut contender)

Sabrina catching Gracie by about 1k since Monday on the albums and about 1.5k to go, so could be close between them for the #2. Aw at Mac Miller already falling as far as #10, I guess his streaming hasn't held up very well.

Looking very good for Messy to get #1. I believe she performed on Jimmy Fallon last night too so maybe it’ll be one of them British songs that gets big in the US as well

It is already pretty big there (not as big as it is here obvz, but it's peaked at #24 on the Hot 100 so far and got as high as #13 on Spotify).

Denial is a river going in the wrong direction

Also hope Lola overtakes Rose

Omg!! Come on "APT."!!!! Although I really love "Messy" and admittedly have been listening to it quite a bit this week. So if "APT." misses out by like 1 sale I will be to blame. :snif: Actually off to stream "APT." now

My ideal would be "APT." #1 this week, "Messy" #1 next week and apparently The Weeknd has a collab with Billie Eilish on his album so wouldn't be surprised if that was to challenge for #1 the week after *_* Big shake up of the charts coming!

Also impressed Central Cee has held onto top 10. I think he may remain top 10 come Friday as he's holding up quite well on streaming services. The song might get a boost with the release of his album next week too.

Edit: Just noticed Bruno has a song out Friday with Sexyy Red called "Fat, Juicy & Wet". Maybe Bruno coming for a #1 next week? This year's "WAP"?! *_*

Sounds like there’s a good amount of new music out on Friday, so hopefully a good amount of new entries in the chart to freshen it up a bit
Looks like it really is now or never for 'APT.' so I've downloaded it - the first charting song I've bought since 'Driving Home For Christmas' in the week it narrowly went Top 10 in 2021, hope that's a good omen for what will be another close call!
Bruno has a new song on Friday… I wonder if he has the ability to get another huge entry? I really think he could, but not sure if Sexyy Red is *that* big a name to help him… we’ll see his power next week I guess! Although the title will definitey turn heads! (‘Fat, Juicy & Wet’) I also love that he seems to solely collabing with female artists! King!

I hope so !! we could do with a good clear out.

what else is out apart from new Bruno/Central Cee's new album?

The first time I heard APT. I thought it would be number one for weeks and have a good few weeks over 60k sales. That didn't happen of course, but at least it hung around for ages and it really would be nice to see it sneak a week in at the top before Messy, which I'm starting to hear more and more everywhere now and will probably go ahead by some margin next week.

New blood will also be very welcome though, the music industry needs to wake up for 2025.

I find it hard to imagine Sexyy Red ever having a UK #1 but stranger things have happened I suppose (ofc not heard the song yet) - bear in mind both 'Die With A Smile' and 'APT.' were a way off #1 in their first week so even if this is a contender it might be a few weeks down the line.

(do we know if it's primarily Bruno's song or Sexyy's?)

Omg Apt looking like doing it and the age of Gracie finally looks like ending!!

Feels like the longest January ever with 2024s chart hits not moving from the top 40 and no new entries to come by
