I’ve not seen too much hype for this on socials but excited to give it a listen.

I’ve always felt Miley is underrated in the album stakes come to think of it - her projects from Bangerz onwards especially have all been really varied but all strong in their own ways.

I wonder how much the accompanying visual element plays into the music too.

I will say that End of the World is quite possibly the best single Miley ever released and that it did next to nothing is baffling. It deserved Top 10 at least and to stick around until at least ACR

Loving this, especially the second half. The one-two punch of Walk of Fame/Pretend You’re God… two of her absolute best back to back. Can’t unhear ‘we’re so beautiful, arseholes go back and forth’ i

01 Prelude > Such a great intro kind of track. Packs a big punch. <

02 Something Beautiful > Underrated. So, SO good. <

03 End Of The World > One of the songs of the year imo. SO good! <

04 More To Lose > This has hit me so much more in the context of the album. It's gorgeous. I unfairly dismissed it pretty quickly tbh. <

05 Interlude 1 > That final half of the song *.* Kinda wanted that to be the intro to another song! <

06 Easy Lover > Very good. The STRINGS!! Room to grow further as I'm not *loving* it atm... <

07 Interlude 2 > Controlled chaos in the BEST way. <

08 Golden Burning Sun > This could be a big fave of mine with repeated listens. It's LUSH! The last minute & a half!!!! OH MY!! THE PRODUCTION ALL THROUGHOUT BUT SPECIFICALLY THIS TRACK! <

09 Walk Of Fame (feat. Brittany Howard) > This is VERY Gaga in the absolute BEST WAY POSSIBLE. AND I MEAN THAT. OHHHHH THIS IS THE ONE!!! <

10 Pretend You're God > It's good but one I'm less inclined to revisit outside of the album. <

11 Every Girl You've Ever Loved (feat. Naomi Campbell) > Brilliant! So catchy and the production again is... *chef's kiss*! <

12 Reborn > I like moments of this but unsure of others. But what I do like, I LOVE. The final 2 minutes are wonderful! <

13 Give Me Love > A really appropriate and beautiful ending to make the album feel truly "full circle"! Mesmerizing. <

What an incredible body of work. The production is outstanding! One of the "most complete" albums I've heard in a while. It just WORKS as an album. That 2nd half is truly another level to the (still great) first half! 'Walk Of Fame' is my immediate standout but much love to 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved' in particular too! The last minute and a half of 'Golden Burning Sun' is the HIGHLIGHT off the entire album.

I moved to New Zealand with Addison Rae and decided to give this a listen — excuse me — this is some of her strongest work to date. The second half of this album is cracker after cracker bratcheeseblock

There is a song that plays with nineties trip-hop and drone bratcheeseblock

Caliing my fellow goth girlie @Jade for this one

It might be my favourite thing she's ever done bratcheeseblock

Have only had time to skim through it and not really take it all in, but Walk Of Fame (feat. Brittany Howard) is just sublime.

Oh this sounds incredible! I'll be sure to give the whole project a listen over the weekend. 🖤

Loving this, especially the second half. The one-two punch of Walk of Fame/Pretend You’re God… two of her absolute best back to back.

Can’t unhear ‘we’re so beautiful, arseholes go back and forth’ in Reborn though 🥲

The second half is like a relentless fever dream bratcheeseblock

This is actually really strong as a collective piece! She pretty much always delivers for me but I think this will be one of those albums where different things come together the more I listen.

The production is really interesting and I love that she’s delivered with those song lengths, in the world of streaming where songs feel so short she’s given us full tracks what have quite a bit to them! Her voice as well sounds really strong on this too.

The instant standouts to me were Golden Burning Sun but Walk of Fame was the wow moment!

I don’t know where I’d rank it yet among her other albums but she’s definitely delivered again. I think this actually feels more like the natural flow up to Plastic Hearts in a sense!

Such a good album! I think her most consistent quality-wise. I thought the first half was going to be the strongest part as I really liked all the pre-release songs/snippets of "Easy Lover" but the 2nd half of the album cheeseblock Love the production throughout as well!! Hope this does well for Miley and that the songs catch on. "Easy Lover" getting a big push so hope it can live up to that!

This album is way better than I expected after reading the reviews. I didn't see the feature credits beforehand and thought it was Sarah Cracknell from Saint Etienne on Every Girl You've Ever Loved, Naomi Campbell did a nice job on it.

More To Lose, Easy Lover, Walk Of Fame and Reborn are also really good, shame Miley has fallen under the radar a bit this time as I like it more than Endless Summer Vacation.

I keep going back to Golden Burning Sun and Walk of Fame. Two definite career highlights. I need to really delve into it as a whole album again and I’m very intrigued at seeing it as a visual piece.

She really is SO versatile though. One of the most interesting females of the 21st century for real. What are we anticipating for this chart wise is there anything else major out this week UK wise? The signed edition on her store is STILL sold out so I’m hoping that’s at least good sign. 😆

It’s just an incredible body of work! I’ve listened to it several times as a full album and it’s just getting better and better. I’m struggling to listen to individual tracks right now. I just wanna listen to it ALL as one atm.

I found myself needing something to listen to whilst Mr D* watches the F1 race... and I was not expecting this to be so good!! Like the longer it went on, the more I found myself getting completely captivated by it... it just kept throwing nice surprises out there in virtually every track and I felt it basically just got stronger and stronger as the album went on. Definitely going to need a couple more listens to unpack it all properly but can totally see why others are saying the second half is their favourite, it seemed like all of them could be among her best songs to me

I really need Walk Of Fame to take off. Truly incredible. Gives me ‘Liberty Walk’ by way of Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’-era.

I'm surprised by the muted critical reception — this feels like one of those fully realised popstar albums that also signals the start of a new career path. I thought the critics would be eating it up tbh. She's always flirted with passion projects, but this is the first that sounds like more than an idea.

I'm appreciating the entire album more with each listen — even if the second half is stronger. There is just something right about how it takes you on a sonic journey from the seventies into the late-nineties bratcheeseblock

Same, it’s such a smash waiting to happen. That chorus is undeniable. I can’t stop listening to this and Pretend You’re God on repeat. So perfect for hazy summer days.

And Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved too actually.

You guys weren't lying about the second half of the album!

The run from 'Walk of Fame' to 'Reborn' is particularly relentless cheeseblock love how fleshed out the track lengths are.

I could totally hear the Sarah Cracknell voice comparison on 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved' from Rich's post too haha
