April 27, 20251 yr People who know how these things work — how likely is it for Lorde to stay in the top 20?

April 27, 20251 yr How much does this latest Oasis re-issue cost? £36 million? Fun when this stuff happens but guessing low 30s by Friday if in the Top 40 at all. But could be proved wrong and in need of some educa-shee-en in the raaaaaaain. Edited April 27, 20251 yr by HiyaLuv!

April 28, 20251 yr Oh thought they meant the cost of actually making the vinyls in the factory lol :D not in the shops

April 28, 20251 yr Yes I was. Turns out it's "only" £13.99 (plus P+P). What a bargain. I remember when 7" singles were looked down on so much they were 99p if they even bothered making them at all. Noel's bank account must be bursting at the seams right now. I don't really see the point in physical music anymore as do pretty much all my listening via my phone but each to their own. I know it looks pretty and everything but I cannot fathom why anyone would pay that!
April 28, 20251 yr Don't think I'll ever get it, especially in a cost of living crisis. Imagine all the other things you can do with £14! The only physical music I've been buying over recent years has been the Now Yearbooks and even then I've just been playing them once then leaving them on the shelf. I seem to have completely forgotten what the point in physical music is, just got too used to streaming. I imagine a fair few of these re-issues have been sold on for a profit pretty quickly.
April 28, 20251 yr I actually think the Whatever single from a few weeks ago was much more expensiveI bought the Taylor-Fortnight 7” the other day and was nearly 30 euros on RSD. the Oasis Time Flies vinyl for RSD was also Like 100 euros so I passed on that one.The prices of vinyl singles are a bit abusive lately

April 28, 20251 yr Mercifully avoided anything to do with James Arthur this time around, so I wasn't even aware he had anything out!
April 28, 20251 yr Hope the Phonics have a good lead to stay at the top. They will be the second Welsh band to have a Number 1 album in the last month if they make it following Those Damn Crows a few weeks ago.
April 28, 20251 yr Surprised to see the Phonics ahead of Ghost actually- assumed the latter's fanbase was bigger!
April 28, 20251 yr Looks like Ghost, James Arthur and Self Esteem all picked the wrong week to release!
