  • We’ve just had Sombr’s “Back To Friends” reaching the Top 10 in its 13th week so I don’t think that idea would work very well. People just consume music much more slowly now. Also if you did get rid

Aside, this could well be the first First Look of the year where every song played has actually peaked in 2025

  • Yeah I’m aware but the lead is way too big without big physical sales. Ordinary is chart royalty and it would be a shame if such a throwaway song like manchild got in the way of history. I will be

Official Charts Report

Sabrina Carpenter’s new single Manchild is leading the way at Number 1 on the Official Chart: First Look.

Currently 7,400 chart units ahead of the reigning Number 1, Ordinary by Alex Warren – which last week broke a major UK Chart record – the track has had a very strong start to the week after just 48 hours.

If Sabrina holds onto her place on Friday’s Official Singles Chart, it will mark her fourth UK Number 1 single, following the record-breaking 2024 combo of Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste.

Meanwhile, there’s a 43rd Top 10 single on the horizon for Ed Sheeran as Sapphire, the latest single from upcoming album Play, lands at Number 6 on the First Look.

Summer-ready dance banger Can’t Decide by Max Dean, Locky and Luke Dean could land a new peak this week (12), and finally Addison Rae could score her second Top 20 single with Fame is a Gun (20), up seven places after two days.

The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Chances for Addison’s “Fame is a Gun” going top ten?

Can’t decide will probably be higher and Azizam too so top 12 looks impossible to me

I'm guessing Addison will have no chance of getting the #1 album against Pulp?

Still #2 would be pretty good for her if she gets it

So…Ordinary has its first week on ACR next week, right? Correct me if I’m wrong but could ACR deny it equalling Bryan Adams in three weeks (assuming no other song overtakes it stream for stream by then)?

It has at least 2 more weeks on SCR, the decline 2 weeks back doesn't count as a decline because it was less than the market's overall decline (a rule the OCC could really do with scrapping).

I think Sabrina is pretty likely to get #1 this week anyway.

was looking at 1st week sales of vinyl singles in 2025 and besides the limited editions of Oasis, Taylor and Charli/Billie for RSD, no one sells much, mostly 1-2K

this is the info I could find on 1st week vinyl sales in 2025:

Oasis - Whatever = 11,465 *limited

Taylor Swift ft Post Malone - Fortnight = 10,105 *limited

Oasis - Some might say = 7,620 *limited

Charli XCX & Billie - Guess = 5,616 *limited

Alok & Kylie Minogue - Last night i dreamt i fell in love = 2,907

Chappel Roan - Pink Pony Club = 2,136

Sabrina Carpemter - Bed chem = 1,371

Lola Young _ Messy = 1,052

Ed Sheeran - Azizam = 1,050

Jade - FUFN = 863

Rachel Chinouriri - All I Ever Asked = 622

The most exciting first look for ages !!

Edited by mrpopquiz

Pulp should easily take the number 1 this week in the albums, id be happy to see Alex Warren take the 13th week at number 1 ahead of another Sabrina Carpenter number 1.
