Favourites:

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes this has grown on me so much over the years since I first heard it, I always used to think it was second best to Relax but now I think it's much better

Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy one of the best synth tracks of the decade, also one of the first songs I can remember hearing that had such a prominent LBGTQ+ theme

Grandmaster And Melle Mel - White Lines (Don't Do It) One of the first rap tracks I can remember hearing and loving

Nik Kershaw - I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me Another track that's really grown on me over the years

Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time Gorgeous, one of the best ballads of the 80s

The Style Council - You're The Best Thing

'Two Tribes' is pure dance-rock energy. One of Howard Jones best here, I prefer him to Nik Kershaw whom he sometimes gets confused for. Spandau Only When You Leave is one of their best! Smalltown Boy important track in terms of them and the production is good too. Alison Moyet - Love Resurrection always reminds me of Annie Lennox - Little Bird, both good songs!

Bluebells Young At Heart is a nostalgic song from its revival in the 90s for me, but I usually prefer electronic songs in the 80s. Jump (For My Love) is good fun but a bit overplayed in media through its two versions. 'You're the Best Thing' is a lovely summery soul song from The Style Council. It reminds me of Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over Till Its Over.

I still haven't got around to listening to the songs from week 31 oops (I made a playlist for myself but didn't find a moment to slot it in during the week) but have caught up with the songs I missed last week to be able to vote in the current poll, I will fill in what I would have voted for in the previous 2 polls at some point!
