I should perhaps have had a little more insight on that being a contender because it won the semi-final I hosted by a pretty wide margin actually but could always have just been a good draw for it x We love to see Rico Nasty completing her journey from tanking when I sent her to now being a contest winner *.* Yay for Nuovo Testamento managing a great result here, shall still be keeping an eye out for them to eventually make an appearance in the main contest ~ + yasss at Cannelle on the podium and nice at Vendredi Sur Mer making the top 5 as well after both coming through AC, my only real complaint here is ADÉLA really should have done a bit better, must have been a fair few poppier countries who didn't vote I guess x

Ooh it’s done already! The top two were my top two in the same order so I’m very happy with how the results went! Also nice little flurry of points for DJ Zinc at the end so very pleased to finish in 7th. Genuinely surprised it even made it through the first heat so the fact we’re here is great!

Looks like a pretty ‘alternative’ set of results considering where the pop songs finished, glad to see Dove Cameron come out on top of them! Thank you to all our hosts for putting this together - it’s a nice way to break up the year!

Not too far off for Neliönoir at least, a great result! Well done Jade, Jim and Dan too, all brilliant songs although this was definitely not the contest for pop by the looks of it, as Hendinia's was catchy and didn't deserve last in the final!

Thanks for hosting mods, always good fun and I made some good discoveries this time although I suppose the only drawback of the format is that once you lose your song you become less invested, which in a normal contest is about a third of us but in this is nearly three quarters.

Nice diversion though for the summer break.

Well done Scotland 2! Probably shouldn’t have ruled that song out given plenty wanted to send it at the time of release hence its veto.

I did say I’d like to avoid last so I obviously SENSED it was on the cards. I do think the type of voters who are more loyal and vote in every round of BJFest/TBO etc tend to lean slightly further away from pop, whereas it’s more balanced when the entire field is involved, so this final result isn’t particularly surprising. Still very in love with Meri Jaan, that’s for sure.
