Official Charts Report

Olivia Dean is on course to end KPop Demon Hunters' HUNTR/X's stay at Number 1, as Man I Need takes an early lead in this week's Official Chart First Look. Having to settle for Number 2 for five consecutive weeks, could this be the moment she finally breaks the streak and shifts Golden off its perch?

And the good news doesn't stop there for Olivia. Nice To Each Other could also shoot into the Top 5, currently up four places (4), while a new track So Easy (To Fall In Love) from her latest album The Art of Loving, is on course to waltz into the Top 10 this week (9).

But the competition is fierce, as RAYE's popular new track WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! edges closer to the summit (3). The Brit is looking for her first Number 1 since 070 Shake collab Escapism. in 2022.

Tate McRae eyes another hit with TIT FOR TAT (6). It's on course to become the 22-year-old's eighth Top 10 single.

Ed Sheeran's Camera may also reappear in the Top 20, up 2 places so far (19).

And finally, a somewhat viral sensation, Sabrina Carpenter may see House Tour enter the Official Singles Chart Top 20 for the first time (20).

What a stacked week for the album chart release schedule (I'm sure Olivia will steamroll the competition but lots I want to check out there)

In addition to the new releases mentioned, I'm intrigued to see how Girls Aloud's Chemistry 20th anniversary repackage will perform. Their reissues so far have gone #42 -> #35, so here's hoping the upward trajectory continues 🤞

Love the Kylie album obviously - interested to see if it managed to do anything at all chart wise off the back of it being a download/streaming only release until the physicals come in 5 (!) months time.

Really enjoying the Perrie album - I feel like her and Jade got done dirty though on the weeks they released!

I hope Chemistry can at least sneak into the Top 40, but my gut feeling is that it won't. In my dreams it would be a long awaited Top 10.

I think people are highlighting the release week a bit too much. Jade wouldn't have been #1 last week either, nor the week before that or the week before.... Actually the most recent "suitable" week for her would've been the release week starting 15th of August. The album was delayed far too long in the first place, but there are not "surefire" weeks for any artist of her calibre.

Also not to take away from her achievement would they have gone so hard if it wasn't a battle

Escapism did what Perfect did in 2020; get a reset as it was nearing the 3 year threshold. If Escapism keeps avoiding ACR, then OCC might force it onto ACR like they did with Perfect

Worse case scenario itll get forced onto permanent acr during the christmas rush that you been panicking about since april 😅

Hopefully the Beautiful Things situation will make the OCC revise the ACR system, then these "Christmas rush" concerns won't be a thing anymore 😂

It's crazy that in January, the OCC actually rewards songs doing badly in December lol

'Perfect' and 'Beautiful Things' only just did enough for their resets, whereas 'Escapism.' has had a pretty sizeable boost that's directly linked to RAYE's new single, and the market is fairly calm this time of year too - I wouldn't worry about it staying on SCR for long.

Dive is certain to be starred out on Friday and I can see Man I Need being the opening track on the next Now album. Shame she didn’t include Rein Me In as a bonus track on the album

I thought they would’ve tacked it onto the streaming version at least - especially as her and Sam are on the same label.

I get the sense that Olivia Dean is quite serious about her artistry, so a remix of a song from Sam Fender's album would be completely out of place.

Just like I never expected Sam Fender to include his remix of Noah Kahan's Homesick on People Watching.

If it was just a loose single I could see an argument for tagging it on but not sure why she'd include a song that she originally had nothing to do with which was recorded for an entirely different artist's album.
