As far as inadvertently working this into offline life:

I think people have mentioned a lot of the lore drops already so I'll just add some self-indulgent me centred ones because it's the only ones I can add:

• Going from BJSC member to BJSC mod was interesting because after I won that 3 entries on the trot, the BJSC mod chat from that time had mods wondering if I was fixing/manipulating behind the scenes through the 'Skype' chat!!! (I wasn't x)

• I technically should've won with Orbital - Wonky against RuPaul - Sissy That Walk as Oliver mistakenly gave RuPaul 2 points when he'd meant to give it to Daehun's entry CL that month, which would've been enough to give me the win

• I think I pretty much hosted nearly all of the contests that were abandoned that were mentioned in this thread or were involved in rescuing them in some way

My fave two in here are definitely Jafet's sister being sent (which I then sent a remix of to a spin-off) and Rob just making up an artist for a laugh!!!!

I think the only lore I have is that my first entry is crap and I've disowned it because I misunderstood the rules to mean (and this is back when you had to submit an mp3) that it had to be an mp3 you already owned of something that hadn't been a hit and at the time the only mp3s I owned were well-known singles or album tracks bc I streamed everything else
