FSR Rontvia's 6 2nd place finishes between wins quickly on its way to being rivalled by the country they just denied by the way... this is now FARC's 4th runner-up since they last won! (and in a much shorter timeframe than those Rontvia silvers)

YTD update ~

Neliönoir remain in pole position going into the last contest of the year but Danæviia close the gap further from 90 points to just 47, all to play for! Jadakissnia stay in 3rd place but fall a bit behind the top 2, the gap to Danæviia widening to 163 points. Cor Lupus sneak up to 4th place swapping with Kluminican Republic. Hendinia and Fljótavík hold in 6th and 8th, Aeroche drop two to 9th and Kathaldazia are down one to 10th, while FSR Rontvia's long awaited win sees them zoom up 5 places to 7th. They replace Greenfroze in the top 10 who drop 3 places to 13th despite a decent midtable result this month. Skall also fall a place despite coming top 10 this month, as they are leapfrogged by both of this contest's top 2, FARC now knocking on the door of the top 10 for the year. Big upwards moves elsewhere in the top 20 for POPHub and Terra Avium. Persephonia are finally on the up again to 23rd, 39 points away from the top 20 so I still have a shot at it if I can find another decent hit and hope some of my competition flops.

it only kinda feels this way bc of Freya Ridings, the other recent Rontvia silvers nearly match up in the same timeline as the FARC silvers (2022-2025)

Danæviia rise to #1 after previously peaking at #2 both last month and 2 months before that. That now makes 22 countries who have led this list at some point, 19 excluding the ones that only did so in updates before BJSC 10. Also of note, Skall are in the top 10 for the first time since they ranked 7th for BJSCs 54-63, while Mothertopia reach a new peak and Cheiron place in the top 30 for the first time.

(I definitely won't post one of these updates next month as it will of course be identical to the EOY top 30)

Very happy to see my 18-pointer 'Backseat' finishing 11th. I like everything I've heard from Balu Brigada and can't believe I never considered sending them myself. The story dandy* posted about how he found it just adds to the appeal for me! My 15-pointer on the other hand, Taahino finished way too low!

Kinda wild seeing how much my top songs shifted this month seeing as my 18-pointer didnt even get any points from me in the semis (IIRC it was around 11th or 12th) granted that was pretty much all based on first listens but good lordeh has ORKID grown on me massssssively. Well deserved medal position for FARC! The pop clan really came to play this month.

Going from 6th in the semi to 25th, well.. at least I wasn't last and it's a unique position for me AFAIK so there's that 🥴

On my silvers, yeah Freya aside it was Shot A Friend, Choreograph, Voryva, My Wing and Korku from May 2022 to now so was getting a bit ‘argh’! I’d like to see FARC win again soon too though because they’ve had some stellar entries this year, not least Stranded which deserved it.

Omg I have to start heading for my bus so I don't have time to read the last couple of pages (thought I'd have time this morning to read everything 😆), but I will as soon as possible. Some people don't like my long posts (same sometimes x) but I did note down several things I wanted to say.

Big congrats to Rich! I had indeed heard the song once or twice before and really liked it, and I did predict it to win. And I am actually really happy that an Estonian artist won with a really good Estonian-language song! I had planned to send an Estonian song to next contest regardless - and now somehow it feels even more appropriate in a way. 😅

When catching up, I actually prematurely saw that FSR Rontvia had won as I saw your new signature! 😂 But it was still fun to watch things unfold.

I was shocked at getting quite a few medal positions (I'll have to check later how many) - especially from Persephonia! I really didn't think Bré liked it that much haha. Thanks to all the voters. I'm happy with 22nd for this slightly bizarre entry!

Shame Zanmatony is so low down though after the initial hype in the odds thread but glad my vote helped you to a unique final postion so some good to make up for that.

Was out last night at CMAT so didn’t get to follow along but what a great result for Miss Lexie Liu! So close yet so far from that top 10 result but still Mothertopia’s 3rd best result !!
