Jane defo won that in my opinion, and I am so over Athena still going on about not being chosen for that f***ing q-pop challenge. Get over it and actually show us something good.

February 8Feb 8 What the HELL was this episode? As if there wasn’t enough tomfoolery with the last episode, Myki being the best and being totally shafted by shenanigans by the Florida girls and those who were aligned with them goes to show how godawful some queens are with the Rate-a-Queen system. I absolutely love Kenya but she knew half of her words and didn’t do as much dancing to back it up, and Discord only seemed to pretend to play the instruments to the track. Athena had little place being in the top either. I’d have put heat 1:TOP: Nini/JuicyBOTTOM: VitaAnd heat 2 with elimination:TOP: Myki/JaneBOTTOM: KenyaELIM: VitaFeel gutted for Ciara leaving and Myki being totally shafted too in the process. Both underrated and Vita I feel doesn’t have much more to give besides runways, the Arrietty of this year (although a lot more likeable).
February 8Feb 8 Rate A Queen is fine for the talent show premieres, but doing it here I think they really wanted to incite drama and I guess it did. But it didn’t make things interesting or a good watch, Myki being in the bottom was insane and imagine she’d have gone here?? She hasn’t really been the most exciting queen or given the most (I’ve agreed with her Chloe Vittu run up to this episode) but she absolutely deserved top alongside Jane this week. Drag Race doesn’t need to be some kind of Survivor social game, I don’t mind some of that on All Stars when a queen wins and gets the golden beaver/chippy tea, because at least it’s still the right queens (most of the time, obviously we’re never going to agree with all the judging of a season) in the bottom. Same with the lipstick format, even with say Manila’s AS4 elim, she did deserve to be in the bottom to be fair. But having rate a queen on a random mid season episode just isn’t the vibe.This season is really not giving, genuinely I would argue this is possibly the weakest season the US franchise has had since season 8, possibly season 1💀 It’s an ok cast, the challenges are fine, idk why it just isn’t pulling together as a whole product. I’ve only just bothered to watch the two talent episodes, usually I’d never wait a week to watch an episode of Drag Race.

February 15Feb 15 No! And in Spanish ¡No! is the funniest thing all season 😭💀Juicy has a chronic Jorgeous lip syncing face and I don’t mean that as a compliment, however she’s one of the most captivating performers on the show in a long time to a point I couldn’t care less.
February 15Feb 15 An elimination as surprising as Vita coming 10th is why I don’t read spoilers because I could never have called that.She did really begin to struggle and it became apparent that 2 design challenges in the opening 4 weeks flattered her overall skill set and made her feel more competitive but I still wouldn’t have expected Kenya and Discord to outlast her.I want Nini to come back to the forefront, she’s still the most exciting one of them for me even though she’s been safe for about 100 weeks but she seems to fallen into the shadows amidst all of the Dion business.
February 17Feb 17 Catching up (I think this is the most of a US series i've watched since Series 14 - I need to catch up properly with the in-between series').So i'm up to/ watching 'Rate a Queen 1' - and Athena really is such a draining presence this series - hopefully she gets eliminated soon. It feels odd to have so many old... or should I say seasoned queens in one series and I think its actually giving it a different kind of vibe. It sort of feels like there are less conceptual queens - or queens thinking outside the box this series...Saying that there are some great queens; Nini, Jane, Myki and Juicy are great. Kenya is a hot mess most of the time but extremely loveable. Darlene is great too, a very likeable personality.In terms of the 3 (at the stage i'm at) who have gone: DD was no big loss, Mandy just didn't seem ready and whilst I didn't mind Briar, it did feel her time was done.
Saturday at 14:033 days Myki, Discord and Jane were both easily better than Nini for me oop. But it made a change to have a strong Snatch Game, any of those could have won. I just think Myki absolutely nailed the mannerisms, the volleying, the improv, everything, she is really coming into her own, character work/improv/acting is her bag and she’s shown that the past 2 episodes having smashed both challenges.Also telling Juicy “we want to see YOU” after a challenge where you have to impersonate a celebrity is crazy.
Sunday at 15:462 days I enjoyed a fair few of the performances; Nini, Myki, Discord and Jane were all fab - I think Discord should definitely have been one of the tops.The bottom 2 were right; Juicy wasn't great but I think she did better than Mia and Kenya... Mia was just awful, although had she not changed like RP suggested, maybe she would've done better?Have to say, loving Darlene too! Athena wasn't as draining this episode either. Sunday at 16:042 days I don't remember the last time I was as baffled by both the winner of the challenge and the elimination I am as tired of old-person-is-horny as I am of made-up characters. Nini served straight humour for the locals and I won't elaborate further x chop
Sunday at 16:232 days It was done well and with a considered point of view with good improv imo but I think the reason I didn’t agree so much with the win is we had Myki do pretty much a masterclass of impersonation which we hardly ever get in Snatch Game, down to subtleties, and still was funny with it. And Jane straight up did the same idea but better, on a character that fit that better due to the fact Truman Capote is known for spilling secrets so that kind of ott sexual humour made sense mixed with the name dropping and imo was funnier.I think maybe they wanted an Aquaria moment with Nini where the fashion queen who’s struggling to get top placements breaks through with a surprising Snatch Game win? The storylining is all over the place this season I feel, in terms of the edit they don’t know what they’re doing and it feels like nobody really has impact or a trajectory, except Jane and even then it feels like they aren’t editing her as someone who is frankly steamrolling everyone to an insane degree in every challenge. This is actually a strong group of queens when you think of how they’ve largely all done well in most challenges, but the season still feels flat, idk what it is.
Sunday at 16:232 days Myki is by far my winner this week and my favourite snatch game performance in years. I liked Nini a lot this week as well but I feel like runway played a major part, which is annoying. This should already be her third win by this point honestly.
