I don't think that's true though. I'm pretty sure the estimation is a pretty solid one which will take into account Christmas songs doing better on Christmas day?

It's based on trends over the week, which won't account for just how huge the Christmas Day boost is. We saw it last year when Halloween fell on a Thursday, and all the Halloween songs fared notably worse than usual as the estimation didn't account for the huge spike they experience on the day itself.

Definitely a flaw in the system, rather than fraudulent. I’m still amazed they haven’t found a better way of dealing with Thursday streams by now

Hope Kylie can stay ahead of Wham but can't see her doing it, think all other contenders are out of the question unfortunately. Definitely didn't expected Lullaby to be top 3 AND for the BBC to play it/acknowledge who it's for! Wouldn't be opposed to it challenging for the top but more likely it'll fall away

I think some of you are underestimating the power of Kylie fans! They know how to rally the troops, she has major promo coming up. Yes it's beyond a challenge but let's be honest Sam Ryder wasn't 7k ahead and he managed to be 6kish away from Wham!

Yes so right and remember people on here saying Kylie wouldn't be number 1 on albums charts and we all came out to buy buy buy.

For reference this was Monday's update for Sam Ryder (Sunday Wham! was ahead in first look) :

1 Wham! - Last Christmas (23,590)

2 Sam Ryder - You're Christmas to Me (21,865)

He Had one CD Single and one Download on Amazon only (Until later in the week when he released another version on Amazon)

(Kylie has 3 physicals, a download for 59p on her own store and a potential 3 downloads at 69p on Amazon)

#1 is a tall order this week. The only Amazon exclusive that’s went #1 so far was Ellie in 2019, the week after the Christmas chart, so I think next week is still looking more likely but if she could get the Christmas #1 that would be amazing

So seems like Kylie is on 17k and Wham and Palestine are neck and neck at 10k

Tomorrow that lead will be slashed Wednesday will be most telling

None of the previous Amazon exclusives would even have been Top 10 if ACR didn't exist, and Kylie's probably no different! Her streams counting double everything else in contention is a huge advantage.
