Finally - justice for ‘Especially For You’. Kylie very almost got her first Christmas Number One in her first year on the UK chart in 1988 - but had to wait (almost) 38 years in the end!

AND it only counts if she’s a named artist (I know she was number 1 the following year duty Band Aid II)

Yes its lovely to see someone else take the Christmas number 1.

Kylie really does defy the odds which she has done many times before.

Some people will argue the number 1 is down to fake streams but i think that argument applies to so many songs in the charts and its very rare kylie fans get to say streaming has worked in her favour.

Now, hopefully she made 53k to break the 100k mark in total sales, just as a bit of cream on top

Absolutely amazing! Yes it was an Amazon exclusive but that’s certainly not a guaranteed number one.

Kylie and her team smashed this out the park with the planning, promo and available variants. Not to mention the goodwill and support from the public.

Ordinary and Beautiful Things won't be eligible for a January reset anyway (Ordinary of course could get one come awards season but who knows)
