Official Charts Report

Djo and End of Beginning starts the week in pole position, eyeing a second consecutive week at Number 1.

Bolstered by the series finale of Stranger Things, Djo, the pseudonym of Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, finally gained top spot four years on from the song’s initial release.

Looking to end Djo’s short reign at the summit include Taylor Swift and The Fate of Ophelia (2) as well as RAYE’s WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! (3). Two pop princesses who know all about the sweet taste of that Number 1 spot, an intriguing battle is sure to ensue this week.

Your highest climber this week could come courtesy of Bruno Mars with his latest offering, I Just Might (5). Following his unexpected announcement on Thursday (8 January) that he would be releasing a new album The Romantic in February, I Just Might dropped this Friday and could earn Mars a 12th Top 5 hit.

Elsewhere, Think About Us from Sonny Fodera, D.O.D and Poppy Baskcomb continues to fill dancefloors and is tracking for Top 20 prosperity, currently up seven places so far (18).

Plastic Cigarette by Zach Bryan (21), may acquire the American country singer-songwriter his highest charting single since 2023’s I Remember Everything.

HUNTR/X return in 2026 looking for more chart success, as What It Sounds Like (24) and How It’s Done (26) begin a steady climb towards re-entering the Top 20.

After securing its peak position last week, PinkPantheress and Stateside is looking to smash this achievement out of the park, on course to climb eight to a new personal best (27).

As she was named in The Official Charts One’s To Watch 2026 list, SIENNA SPIRO and You Stole The Show may move an eye opening nine places (28).

Upbeat anthem Talk of the Town from Fred again.. featuring Sammy Virji and Reggie is tracking to climb three (33), while David Guetta, Teddy Swims and Tones and I’s Gone Gone Gone finally looks to break the Top 40, currently scaling 11 positions (36).

Finally, Sleepless in a Hotel Room could earn Luke Combs his third Top 40 accolade (39).

Oh glad we aren't just expecting one new entry this week, hope Zach can hold on (and maybe Midnight Sun climbing in?)

Aw Zach just missing out on a spot in the First Look chart - more interested to see where the album is but have to wait for tomorrow for that as per ~ Good to see Prince did get a play today!

Any reason gone gone gone just taking off now feels like its been put ages

It's showed up in the top 40 in the mids a few times already I think and always dropped out by the end of the week? It's pretty much just back to around the position it was before the Christmas songs started taking over.

Looks like we're due for the first multi-week #1 of 2026

I'm going to get this in early. I do not want a 10 week number one this year. PLEASE. Lets get these charts moving a bit faster, this isn't Billboard. New stuff. Lets go

i can imagine I Know You’re Hurting isn’t too far off an official release but idk

She’s been filming a video in London but looks like it’s for something more uptempo than I know you’re hurting

Hope Bruno can climb further. Nice that Sienna's second song in the Top 40 climbs aome places. Is it known how "Choosin' Texas" performs?

Pleasantly surprised by Laroi's position! His last album started at #28 in the Monday update and peaked at #29 on Friday so hopefully an improved position for this one.

Blue...ok then.

I heard they've been out signing a lot but still can't imagine sales are anything special so Olivia will presumably regain her spot.

Blue have done a great promotion and they deserved it. Well Done and very happy for them
