No wonder they kept meddling with the release date!

AI covers are a bit tricky, I'd say most of the filler covers and remixes have been AI for a while now. I was at a restaurant for a lunch and they played suspected "acoustic" AI covers of hits like Flowers and As It Was. I mean it is possible that someone had actually bothered to record that kind of stuff in person but highly doubt that.

AI covers work for streaming purposes if the original song isn't too popular and something that everyone knows. I don't think an AI cover of Birds of a Feather or Bohemian Rhapsody would do very well.

I think realistically 90 per cent of his physicals are from his store and the number of people that actually buy physicals from hmv etc is very small so I doubt it would be anywhere near number 1 that week

Not all physical editions have been shipped.

+Vinyl, cassettes and some other boxCDs what can give him another ~20k will be shipped on Feb-6 chart week.

I think his mgmt has calculated how to make his chart run longer and calculated exactly how much copies he needs enough already this week.

I worked in retail for a month over Christmas 2024, I was right next to the CD section and I can't say I ever saw anyone take anything from there to the tills 😂 doubt most Robbie fans (40 odd year old mums) are the type to get their CDs from HMV

I am a “40 odd year old mum” and would buy from HMV!! Probably a vinyl though as I don’t have anywhere to play a CD these days 😆

Well according to the adverts I been seeing and his website hes been signing stuff like mad apparently so I'm not sure thats the case it sounds more like what @Better Man has said and only half the physicals have been released so far

He’s signed plenty this time but I think the pull last time was the price of 3 cassettes and signed poster - this time the bundle is £30.

The cassettes for BM contributed to almost 50% of the total first week sales (21,314) - although agree they have probably held some sales back.

I think Olivia will end up at #2 in the albums come Friday

I've just checked the top 100 midweeks and at No. 83 is an AI cover of Stromae's Papaoutai. I would prefer if an ACTUAL artist covers it and does a soul version. That would be more respectful then this AI trash

Looking like there might be no new entries into the top 40 which is very disappointing for a time of year when there should be a lot of new stuff.

The creators behind the chart-topping song believe their creative process has been misunderstood.

However Germany has let the AI Stromae cover in (it’s top 30 there) so it does seem to be at the discretion of each country’s chart compiler currently.

I don’t mind AI created music for fun only but nobody should ever be making any money out of it or even allowed to commercialise it or upload it to streaming services so I very much hope it’s banned here.

Good move by Robbie then - I didn’t realise the physicals would be shipped this week too so fair play.

so i would say let’s all move to sweden but there is no privacy there at all and you can find anything about anyone just with one search so let’s not 😂
