I think he can get a big smash over here with a fun summer English/Spanglish hit that still stays loyal to his sound, but yeah the language barrier will always be an issue unfortunately

I feel like if he was going to make a big English crossover song he would have done it already by now - he clearly doesn't need to considering he's been in the top 3 most streamed artists in the world 6 years in a row without having to abandon Spanish! A shame that he doesn't do so well in the UK as a result but at least he has done a lot better with this album than he ever did before.

True, I kinda forgot that existed and I guess there was also the Dua Lipa and Travis Scott collabs which had some limited UK success. But yeah, as far as I am aware none of his own songs have had any significant English parts.

(He did have a song with an English title in 'WHERE SHE GOES' but iirc that still only had about 2 lines of English in it lol)
